Spring bear

Well - I've found a new digital images site (www.the papershelter.com) which is lethal!!! Had to check out the images and found this gorgeous bear - well I couldn't resist!!

I am entering this card into a few challenges :-
Fantabulous cricut (theme is 'looks like spring', and I used the cricut to cut out the frame on the picture and the bottom flower)
Papertake weekly challenge - which was to copy a sketch provided (I rotated it 90 degrees to suit my image)
and The Paper Shelter challenge no 7 (Inspired by)

Just because...

Another card! It seems I am doing more cards than scrapbook pages lately (all your fault Deb!!) This card is going to be entered into Cute card Thursday (couples) and Pollycraft (friends) challenges.

X-Box!!

I have created this page for a challenge on Colourful Creations - creative journalling. I tend not to journal on my pages to much as I never know what to write and I don't like my handwriting! This time I cheated and printed out my journalling but made it part of the effect.

Sisterly Love

Now this one really was a challenge. I had to make an 8x8 layout for Colourful Creations challenge 'small size'. I found this really difficult - I'm so used to working on 12x12 pages, and have just started making some cards - so this was really in between. Anyway - after a lot of 'umming' and 'ahhing' I finally came up with this. It is one of my favourite photos of the kids - I'm beginning to think of putting it in a frame as I don't have an 8x8 album on the go!

Thank you teacher card

I'm entering this card into Colourful Creations 'Let's play Jeopardy' cards challenge. My challenge was to use the quote 'An apple a day...' as inspiration. I decided to do a Thank you Teacher card, as I knew I would need this soon and I just love the image from Mo's digital pencil (I sooo looks like my daughter it's scary!!)

I'm also entering this card into Cute card Thursday - following a sketch for the layout of the card.

'Flutterby' Magic

When I saw this challenge on Colourful Creations, I just knew which photographs and diecut I was going to use. The challenge was to create a layout using some sort of diecut, a title with only 2 words, and use only 2 pictures. The title was easy - my daughter never could say 'butterfly' and she thought that the caterpillars turning into butterflies was just 'magic'!!

So here it is ... 'Flutterby' magic!

I am also entering this page into K Andrew's Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky -create any project that is all a flutter - using butterflies or any other winged thing! Perfect!!

Brother-in-law's birthday

Yet another card!! Didn't think I'd be doing another one so soon, but birthday's come around soooo quickly!
This time I took my inspiration from a few challenges, and rolled them all into one. I have discovered a fantastic website (www.kennykdownloads.com) thanks to the challenge, where I downloaded this image from and then coloured it in by hand using my new prismacolour pencils! I'm getting VERY arty lately!! :-)
The first challenge was over on
Colourful Creations. The idea was to create a masculine greeting card using a stamped or digital image, masculine patterned paper, ribbon or twine and buttons or brads.
The second challenge I am entering this card into is over on
Fantabulous Cricut. The challenge was to c
reate a square card and include the colors green and gold (bright yellow will do). There had to be something on the card cut using the cricut - so I used my Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and cut out the stars.

The third challenge was over on Pollycraft challenge - make a 'teens' card.
The fourth challenge is over on
Simonsaysstamp - a 'birthday' card.

I also found I could enter this card into a challenge on Kenny K's website itself! All I had to do with this one was use ribbon, lace or bows!!

Easy eh?!!!! So enough of the talking - here is my card...

Smile!

I LOVE this picture! I have entered this page into another sketch challenge over on Colourful Creations. I had to copy this sketch ...

So i knew exactly which photo I wanted to use, but it was portrait instead of landscape ... so I just flipped it!! This is what I came up with.

So Cheeky!

A girlie page - finally!! Looks like I'm jumping in and out of working on albums at the moment! It made a lovely change.

Well - the title says it all!! Nia wasn't quite 3 years old in this picture but was already a little madam! Her facial expressions are just fantastic!! This picture shows her telling her brother off - who knows what for but it generally didn't matter!!

I have entered this page into the Guest Designer challenge over at Colourful Creations - the idea was to copy this sketch:

I have also entered the page into K Andrew's Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky - the title was 'Sugar and Spice'!!! I think this suits my daughter perfectly - she looks so sweet, but has certainly got a bit of spice in her!!

Brother's birthday

Woohoo! I've made my first card!! Thanks Deb for your demo on making this - good fun but I do struggle with with cards - scrapbook pages are much easier!!

I made this card for my brother's birthday - hope he likes it!

I have entered this card into the 'TicTacToe' challenge on Colourful Creations. The idea was to complete 3 squares on the board. I did 1. make a card, 2. Use brads, 3. Use 3 different patterned papers.

I have also entered this into the Simon Says Stamp challenge 'Anything goes', and Cute card Thursday.

First Christmas

Yet another Christmas page I'm afraid!! I have entered this page into Colourful Creations March sketch and colour combo. The idea was to copy this sketch ...

using this colour combo ...

This is how mine turned out!!!

Great challenge - I was looking for some more inspiration for colours to use in my Christmas album instead of just green and red!

Football

I entered the challenge 'Jeopardy' on Colourful Creations and chose the category 'So Colourful' for $100. My challenge was to create a page which was predominantly green - this lent itself perfectly to my son's football pictures ('soccer' to those of you in the US!) This is how it came out ...

Yet again, another Christmas page! Still trying to complete the album from my parents coming over this Christmas - such a fab time that I wanted to preserve the memories.

I have entered this page into a sketch competition on Colourful Creations. This is the sketch I was trying to follow ...
