Cute Card Thursday - No Patterned Papers

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'No Patterned Papers'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used an image from Aliciabel.com - Willy Wonka.

Not being able to use patterned papers was a lot harder than I thought! I used scraps of paper from my stash, and embossed the red piece just to add a little more contrast.
I found the quote on Pinterest and added a little bakers twine to finish the card off.

We are sponsored this week by Aliciabel.com a great prize as always!
Hope you can join us! See you there!

Sick Chick! Get Well Soon

My daughter asked me to make a get well soon card for her friend - this image from From The Heart stamps was just perfect! The image is called 'Sick Chick'.

I used the current sketch on the From The Heart Stamps blog (#148):

I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils, and cut out the circle and scalloped circle using Spellbinders Nestabilites.
I used papers from Echo Park with a variety of wash tape.

Teacher Appreciation Week

I just love this super cute image from Sassy Cheryl Stamps - 'Teacher's Pet'. Bella is my current favorite!!

I used the current sketch from Sketch Saturday (#408):

The papers are scraps from my stash, with a sentiment from Desert Diva's blog.

My second card was CAS style.

Again, the image was colored with my prismacolor pencils, along with another sentiment from Desert Diva's blog.

Cute Card Thursday - Homemade Embellishments

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Homemade Embellishments'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

This image from All Dressed Up Stamps - 'Sweetie Pie'.
I changed the sentiment layout in Silhouette Studio to work better with my design.

I used papers from Teresa Collins 'Carolina Breeze' 6x6 paper pad.
I love this color combo.
My homemade embellishments are the flower (using a Martha Stewart punch and brad) and the flourish which I cut out on my Silhouette.

We are sponsored this week by All Dressed Up Stamps, a great prize as always!

April Showers bring May Flowers

The new challenges are back up and running on the Sassy Cheryl Facebook Page!

This month's theme is 'April Showers Bring May Flowers'.

I used 'Whatcha Growin-Maddie' from the Oldies but Goodies collection in
Sassy Cheryl's Digital Stamps shop. This image also comes with the flower images too.

As Spring is round the corner, I decided to make this cute gift set for planting seeds.

The flower images came as one image of all 3 flowers - I copied and deleted the different flowers using my Silhouette software. I then added the flower names and placed them on mini bags to create the seed packets.

The gift bag is a simple paper bag which I removed the handle from and folded over the top. The papers are from American Crafts 'Fresh Squeezed' collection.

I hope this inspires you to join in our challenge
(please remember to use a Sassy Cheryl's image).
