Cute Card Thursday - Spots & Dots

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Spots & Dots'. 
As always, we welcome your own interpretation. 

I used this adorable stamp from Whimsy Stamps - 'Seashell' designed by Elizabeth Bell.

I stamped the image and then colored her in using my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut her out.

I used her as my color inspiration for the card. The papers are from Echo Park's 'Under the Sea' 6x6 paper pad. This was all adhered onto a standard A2 white card base.

I used Whimsy Stamps 'Basic Stitched Ovals' die set to cut out the window off the edge of the card, and added some blue 'fish' paper behind.

I cut strips of patterned paper matching the colors from the image and added those down the side. I finished the card off with some yellow enamel dots and twine.

Winter

I'm up on the Crafty Doodle Chick blog today with a combination of Neat and Tangled and My Favorite Things.

These stamps and dies are all available from the Crafty Doodle Chick Store.

I stamped the background using Neat and Tangled 'Hello Winter' stamp set and pale grey ink. I used the same stamp set to stamp the large 'winter' in blue ink, which I then heat embossed with transparent embossing powder.

I used MFT's 'Layered Snowflakes' die-namics to cut out the snowflakes from 2 different blue colors of cardstock from my stash. I added some enamel dots to the centre of each snowflake.

I adhered this panel onto a matching blue background, and then onto a 5.5" x 5.5" white card base.

Without further ado, let me share another one of the projects I created with this amazing kit.

Aren't these stamps just adorable?!  I love me some panda bears! The design possibilities are endless!  

I started by using Whimsy Stamps new Card Builder windows die set to cut out the white panel background, and then used the 'Vines' embossing folder from the kit for a little texture. I cut out the window from the panel using one of the dies from the card builder window set. I adhered some of the white glitter cardstock from the kit behind the window.

I stamped the adorable panda image and colored him in using my prismacolor pencils. I used the coordinating die to cut him out. I stamped the bamboo with mowed lawn and twisted citron distress inks and the fussy cut it out. I popped up the panda on some foam dots and adhered the bamboo next to him to 'climb'.

I stamped the sentiment using versamark watermark ink and then heat embossed it using white embossing powder. I cut this, along with some of the green glitter tape, into a banner and stuck it onto the white panel background. 

This panel was then adhered onto some matching green specialty cardstock and then onto a standard A2 top-folding white card base.

Without further ado, let me share another one of the projects I created with this amazing kit.

Aren't these stamps just adorable?!  I love me some panda bears! The design possibilities are endless!  

I kept this card super simple. I started by using Whimsy Stamps new Card Builder windows die set to cut out the white panel background. I masked off the top and bottom using tape and then ink blended fired brick distress oxide to create an ombre look. I added some splashed of water and used a paper towel to dab them off.

While that was drying, I stamped the panda from the Panda Butt stamp set and colored him in using my prismacolor pencils. I added a little red sweater on him to match my color combo! I cut him out using the coordinating die.

Once the inked background panel was dry, I stamped the bamboo and sentiment on top using my Misti (just to make sure I got a good crisp stamp). I popped the panda up on the card using some foam tape.

I then adhered this panel onto some red cardstock from the kit and then onto an A2 black card base made from the cardstock in the kit also.
