I love the MFT challenges every summer, and this year his no exception! I am playing catch up as I was away camping for the first week!
The idea of white space doesn’t refer to a primarily white card (though often, as is the case with today’s project, this is true) but rather, the idea of leaving a significant portion of your design open, free from embellishment, allowing your focal point to truly shine.
I used the adorable 'Polar Bear Pals' stamp set for my card.
I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and used my Scan'n Cut to cut it out.
I stamped the ice patch using 'Ski-sons Greetings' stamp set. I stamped it using Stazon white ink and blue vellum. I fussy cut this out.
The sentiment was stamped from the 'Polar Bear Pals' stamp set onto plain grey cardstock, and then hand cut the strip into a banner.
I placed these elements down towards the bottom right corner, leaving white space around the top of the card.
I then adhered this white panel onto blue striped paper from the Painted Prints Citrus 6x6 paper pack (now retired). I then added it to a standard white A2 sized card base.
I am adding this card to the White Space challenge, and also the Birthday Project - Bear Happy Birthday.
Thanks for looking!
Happy crafting x
I love this! That brilliant blue is sweet and I love the paper you used, too.
