My Style

My style is constantly evolving. I love the look of ‘clean and simple’ layouts with brighter, bolder colors. But then I also like the more embellished layouts with soft and muted colors. I like to find a collection and see where it takes me. You will see a lot of layering on my layouts, and I love to use embellishments in a fun and, sometimes, unexpected way.

Not only do I like to create layouts, but I also enjoy making cards and have begun to alter products too. I love the versatility of collections – paper is not just for making layouts and cards, there is so much more you can do with it! I love to experiment with different mediums and often surprise myself with the outcomes.

Blog hostess duties - writing blog posts (http://scrapbook.steals.com/wp/), creating 2 challenges a week (one a craft challenge with a theme, one a sketch challenge) using products being sold that day. I had to create a range of paper crafts for a different theme each week using the products on 'steal' for that day. I had to draw up my own sketch on Silhouette for participants to use in the challenge and create a layout based off the sketch using the 'steal' of the day. I coordinated monthly blog hops, Design Team Members, and Guest Designers - through facebook groups, emails and writing up their posts once completed. I also helped to coordinate products being shipped out to guest designers, hoppers, etc and computer work on the 'inside'.
