I've discovered heat embossing this week!!! And I decided to try it out on this page!!
I thought I would enter this into the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge 48 - Emboss it!
I had to download a Japanese font from the internet, and then I used the program 'Sure Cuts A Lot' on the Mac, which I can link up to my Cricut, to cut out down the left hand side. I love this program as you can pretty much cut out any image you want, from a photograph on file, to downloads from the internet - it's great.

America Concert
I decided this week that I would try and complete more recent photo scrapbooking pages - otherwise it will be about 5 years before I finally get up to this date and I will have forgotten what these events were all about! I will slowly fill in the gaps when I get a chance!
I used a Paper Secrets Sketch challenge this week as I felt the layout kinda lent itself to the theme of my page. This is the sketch I tried to follow ...
and this is how mine came out!!!
I used ribbons behind the cut-out word 'concert' and kept to the theme with the flags. Not quite the same, but similar!!!

Walking in a winter wonderland
Another challenge completed! I'm lovin' it!!
This is a double page 12x12 about a winter walk we did when my parents came over to visit for Christmas.
Fantabulous Cricut challenge number 47 - weather forecast - make a project featuring your favourite seasonal weather. I wouldn't say winter is my favourite season, but we sure have got a lot of snow around at the moment!!
The paper I used for this project is DCWV textured cardstock (pastels) and TPC Studio Winter Blues - diecut snowfall.
On this page I used the cricut cartridges New Arrival (for the footprints), Accent Essentials (for the snowflake journalling card) and Winter Woodland (for the hat, scarf and gloves). I finished it all off with some ribbon, buttons and stitching.
On this page I used the cricut cartridges New Arrival (for the footprints), Once upon a princess (for the words 'walking in a') and Winter Woodland ( for the words 'winter wonderland'). I again finished it all off with some ribbon, stitching and embellishments.
Hope you like it!

Dear Santa
This is my first challenge since I started scrapbooking a month and a half ago - man it's addictive!
I am currently trying to scrapbook the first 10 years of my sons life! I think it may take me a while!
Lasting Memories layout challenge - to use red, white and/or pink. I used DCWV cardstock brights for the red background, DCWV Tis the season paper to cut out the presents, I used green scraps to make my Chrsitmas tree and finished this off with mini brads. I used a variety of ribbons to create the top and bottom borders, and paper pizazz 'easy stitches' template for all stitching work. Hope you like it!!
