Cute Card Thursday - Family

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Family'. 

As always, we welcome your own interpretation. 

I used this adorable Grow a little Love FREEBIE digital stamp from Tiddly Inks Stamps, to make a wedding anniversary card for my parents.

I printed the flower border and sentiment directly onto the back ground paper.

I then printed the flower border onto patterned cardstock and paper pieced this on top of the original image.

The sentiment is from Desert Diva's blog.

A little hand stitching and matching patterned border finished this simple CAS style card off.

Whimsy Stamps 'Penguin & Bear'

I used this adorable image called 'Penguin & Bear' by Crissy Armstrong.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils.
The sentiment is from the Scripty Occasions clear stamp set, which I stamped and then heat embossed to make it stand out on the colored patterned paper.
The papers are from Simple Stories 'Bloom & Grow' collection.

MFT Sketch Challenge #329

I just love this adorable die from My Favorite Things - Die-namics Roses in Bloom.

I also used the current sketch #329:

I flipped the sketch upside down.

I die cut the rose from the white cardstock and then backed it in the red and green, making sure to keep hold of the rose detail to add back on top.

I used the 'Springtime Blooms' stamp set for the sentiment, which I heat embossed in white.

A few die cut hearts and drawn on stitching finishes the card off!

CAS-ual Fridays Sketch Challenge #172 - Color Challenge

I LOVE this color combo! 

I used the RAD 2 Stamp Set to stamp onto the navy cardstock.

I used Versamark's watermark stamp and then heat embossed in white.

The pink paper is form Echo Park's 'Everyday Eclectic' collection.

A little twine finishes the card off!

MFT Color Challenge #67

I've just received my MFT goodies and had to play!!

This week's color challenge on the My Favorite Things blog (#67) was a selection of orange, blue & yellow:

Here is the card I made, inspired by the color combo:

I used the Die-namics snow drifts border die for the edges and hand pierced the holes to match.

I then used 'Springtime Blooms' stamps for the flowers in 2 shades of orange ink from color box.

The sentiment is also from the 'Springtime Blooms' stamp set, which I stamped using Versamark's watermark stamp. I than used white embossing powder and heat embossed the sentiment.

A little bakers twine finishes the card off.

Cute Card Thursday - Birthdays

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Birthdays'.

As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used this adorable image from this month's Clear & Rubber stamp release over at the Whimsy Stamps store - 'Penguin Birthday Party' by Crissy Armstrong.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out.

The sentiment is from the 'Everyday Mini Sentiments' clear stamp set at Whimsy Stamps.

I used the Shaker Builder - Sweetest Birthday die set for the red frame and the stitched circle die set for a little more interest in the background.

The papers are from Simple Stories.

Hello little one...

I used this super cute digital image from Craftin' Desert Divas - 'Hello Little One'.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils, using the current mood board from Crafting' Desert Diva's Facebook challenge for the color combo and 'new' spring theme:

I used the current sketch from the challenge at MFT - Sketch 328 for a guide to my card design.

I used my silhouette to cut out the heart from the background, which I then backed with vellum. I used washi tape from my stash for the diagonal stripe at the back.

I am entering this card into April's mood challenge on Crafting' Desert Diva's Facebook page and the sketch (328) challenge on the MFT blog.

Whimsy Stamps April Challenge - Anything Goes with a twist of 'Spring'

This month's challenge theme is 'Anything Goes' with the added option of a 'Spring' theme.

I used this adorable clear stamp set from the new release - 

'Penguin Gardener'by Crissy Armstrong.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and used the stitched tag die set to cut it out. I used the 'Magical Birthday Wishes' clear stamp set to add the sentiment to the tag. I also used the 'Shaker Builder - Sweetest Birthday' die set to cut out the frame and birthday sentiment. I added some 'Summer Breeze' enamel dots and a little bakers twine to finish the card off.

The papers are from Echo Park's 'Country Drive' collection which I felt gave us the perfect Spring theme.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils.

The sentiment is from the 'With Love Perfume' digital stamp - which I separated out using my silhouette studio.

I made a gatefold card, using the sentiment and circle diecut to hold the card closed.

The papers are from my stash, along with the enamel dots.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils.
I used the 'Pierced Border Trio Dies', the newly released word dies set 'Smiles Happy & Celebrate' and the stamped sentiment from the 'Say What' clear stamp set. 
The papers are from my stash along with the added button and twine.

I just love this adorable image from Craftin' Desert Divas - 'My Unique Friend'.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #171 - Rainbows

Anyone who knows me, knows how messy I can be when crafting! Give me inks, stamps and stencils and it can be a disaster! Lol!
I was actually quite suprised how 'clean' this card turned out!

I used my Color Box cat's eye inks with the Whimsy Stamps butterfly stencil to create a rainbow effect of colors.

The 'Happy' die is coming out on Wednesday (*SNEAK PEEK ALERT*!!), which I cut out 3 times and then stuck together to make them thicker.

I used the Whimsy Stamps 'Say What' clear stamp set (retired) for the birthday sentiment.

Some colored washi tape from my stash finished the card off!

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils, and then fussy cut it out.

I used the Shaker Builder Sweetest Birthday die set to cut out the red frame, and adhered some vellum onto the back. The sentiment is from the Happy Sayings clear stamp set, with the papers from Pebbles 'Seen & Noted' collection.
