Whimsy Stamps & Starbucks Gift Card Holder

My new idea for a Christmas gift! I always buy my kids gift cards for Starbucks for their stockings - this year I decided to jazz them up!
I used the awesome Coffee Cup Die Set from Whimsy Stamps, to make my life a little easier!

It was super easy to make up the coffee cup, and there are even extra dies for the accent.
I used a coffee cup holder from Starbucks for the pocket - just cut it down a bit to make it smaller.
The papers are scraps from my stash, along with some twine and a brad.

Hope I have inspired you!

Whimsy Stamps Penguin Gift

As you probably know, I seem to have a thing for penguins this year! Here is another cute image from Lee Holland, Penguin Gift, available at the Whimsy Stamps Store.

I used my prismacolor pencils to color the image.
The papers are Winter Wishes 6x6 paper pad from Whimsy Stamps, along with some embossed paper from my stash. I used the Geometric snowflake die, and an older snowflake border die.
The sentiment is from the In My Backyard clear stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you to make some fun penguin Christmas cards this year!

Cute Card Thursday - Tag, Ornament or Bauble

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Tag, Ornament or Bauble'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.
I used this adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil - 'Kayla with Gingerbread'.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and used some scrap cardstock to cut out the tag and insert. I added a few mini bells and twine to finish it off.
The 3d tote was a cutting file from the silhouette store.

We are sponsored this week by SherriBaldy Designs, a great prize as always!

Whimsy Stamps Snow Day!

Who doesn't love a nice cup of hot cocoa on a cold, wintery day?
This Hot Tubbin' stamp from Whimsy Stamps is just perfect for a gift.

I used my prismacolor pencils to color the image and added a little glitter too (not that it shows up in the photo!!) The scallop circle has been die cut from the Christmas Cheer 6x6 paper pad.
I stamped the detail on the bag using clear stamps from In My Backyard.

I did a small mason jar of hot cocoa ingredients and dressed it up with a scalloped circle on top, some baker's twine and a small tag using Joyous Holiday mini sentiments and the stitched tag dies.

A simple Christmas present, perfect for anyone!

Whimsy Stamps Poinsettia Gift Card Holder

Another of my favorite stamp sets over at the Whimsy Stamps Store is Joyous Holiday. It has this adorable poinsettia with some great mini sentiments.

I stamped the poinsettia on a variety of papers from Whimsy Stamps Christmas Cheer 6x6 paper pad, and heat embossed the outlines. I then fussy cut the different parts of the flower and 'popped' them up.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

The gift card sits inside on the tag - which is also decorated in the matching paper.

Hope I have inspired you to 'jazz up' your gift cards for Christmas!

Frosty Cup of Cocoa

Here is another Christmas card using one of my favorite stamps from Sassy Cheryl Stamps - Frosty Cup of Cocoa.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut him out.
I die cut some snowflakes into the white background and backed in it red for a little pop of color.
The sentiment is from From the Heart Stamps.
I 'popped' up the snowman for the finishing touch!

Cute Card Thursday - Add something metallic

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'add something metallic'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I just LOVE this image from All Dressed Up Stamps - 'A star is born'.

I wanted this card to be CAS so that the cute image stood out from the rest. I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils, and used some small metal nappy (diaper) pins that I bought a long time ago from Michaels.

I am entering this card into the current ADU Facebook challenge 'Celebrations'.

We are sponsored this week by All Dressed Up Stamps, a great prize as always!

Cute Card Thursday - Anything But a card

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything But a card'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I have recently moved my craft room, and guess what I found??!! I bought this advent calendar by Kaisercraft about 3 years ago - never got round to doing anything with it, and to be honest, had completely forgotten I had bought it!!

I used papers from Whimsy Stamps 'Christmas Cheer' 6x6 designer paper pad. Such an adorable collection, that worked perfectly with embellishments from Simple Stories 'Handmade Holiday'.

I love these cute little penguins from Crissy Armstrong's collection (an old digi collection from Whimsy Stamps). I fussy cut this little one out to hang from the top of the calendar, and added a little glitter on the lights.

I fussy cut these 2 penguins from the original image and stuck them on a 3D box. The original image is exactly the same but obviously not 3D! I copied the drawn ribbon with actual ribbon for more texture and dimension.

The Christmas tree was made from a bauble 'bouquet' which I bought from Michael's. I took this apart and rearranged it in the shape of a Christmas tree.
A title from Simple Stories 'Handmade Holiday' collection, some stars from my stash, and some enamel dots from Whimsy Stamps 'Christmas Cheer' collection - and voila!!!

We are sponsored this week by Whimsy Stamps, a great prize as always!

Die cut snowflake cards

I have decided to make some CAS cards to send to family in the UK this year. They need to be made quickly and put in the mail shortly to beat the 'Christmas card delivery rush'!!

I used dies and stamps from Whimsy Stamps for both of these cards, along with papers from their Winter Wishes collection.

I cut out the large snowflake from the light blue paper and backed it with the darker blue paper, also using it for the border. I used a sentiment from the clear stamp set 'In my backyard'. A little twine and some enamel dots finished the card off.

Again, I used the snowflake dies to cut out the snowflakes on the white card. This was then backed with a dark blue paper and 'popped up' on the card. The sentiment was from the clear stamp set 'Scripty Occasions' and heat embossed on top.

Supplies from Whimsy Stamps used:
