Cute Card Thursday - Tags

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Tags'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used this adorable stamp from My Favorite Things - Hanging with my Gnomies - available at the time of writing in the 7KidsCrafts store.

I stamped out the image and colored her in with my prismacolor pencils. I added white gel pen detailing on her hat and then fussy cut her out.

I used a variety of Echo Park papers and dies from my stash to create the card.

I finished the card off with some twine, ribbon and shape sprinkles from my stash.

It is all adhered to a standard A2 white card base.

We are sponsored this week by Bugaboo Stamps, a great prize as always!

Celebrate with dinosaurs!

I love the Stamping Bella set of dinosaurs! They are the perfect images for boy cards!

I stamped the images and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I added some white gel pen detailing and then fussy cut them out.

I die cut the white background panel using the Notched Rectangles die from Whimsy Stamps. I then stamped the sentiment using Doodlebug's Happy Birthday stamp set.

I used Doodlebug's Land that I Love 6x6 paper pad for the patterned paper background, along with Doodlebug's Stars and Stripes shape sprinkles to finish the card off.

The 7KidsCrafts store have so many Stamping Bella and Doodlebug goodies to choose from - you should go check them all out!

Cute Card Thursday - Christmas in July

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Christmas in July'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used this adorable new digital image by Dustin Pike for Whimsy Stamps. This is called 'Toddler Dragon' and I thought it worked perfectly for a Christmas card!

I printed out the toddler dragon image and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I added some white gel pen detailing and then fussy cut them out.

I stamped the presents from the Nutcracker stamp set, colored them in, added extra detailing and then fussy cut them out.

The Christmas tree die is from my stash - it was gifted to me so I have no idea what the brand is.

I cut a white cardstock panel measuring 5.125" x 3.875". I stamped the sentient using the Oh What Fun stamp set and placed the images onto the panel. I used a little grey Copic color to 'ground' the images.

I added this panel onto a piece of the red designer paper from the new Cosmic paper pad, and adhered this all onto a top folding standard A2 white card base.

We are sponsored this week by Oddball Art Co., a great prize as always!

Hope you can join us!

Cards for HEROES

If you have scrapped and made your cards for 4th July, but still have leftovers, why not make some cards for soldiers? There are lots of groups that send cards to the military working overseas.

I used Photoplay Paper's Gnome for the Holidays, 4th of July collection, available from the 7kidscrafts store, to make my cards. The colors and patterns are perfect for military style cards.

I also used some dies and stamps from Queen & Co and Whimsy Stamps to make these cards.

You will find this 4th of July paper collection in the 7kidscrafts store, along with a TON of other great Photoplay collections. I love them all.

Think about making some cards for soldiers if you have scraps left over too - they would for sure appreciate them!

Thanks for looking.

Doodlebug Designs Bar-b-cute Mini Album

I recently 'attended' a virtual retreat with 3 Craft Chicks which was so much fun! There was lots of goodies, tutorials, demos and shopping.

I am super happy with this Doodlebug Designs Bar-b-cute album which we made during the retreat.

The base was a chipboard album, which I covered with the patterned paper from the collection.

I used the odds and ends ephemera from the collection and ribbons from my stash.

Thank you Lauren Seals for this class!

No Coloring Required!

When you don't feel like coloring but still want cute cards - the Photoplay Tulla & Norbert 6x6 Pattern Collection is the perfect answer! It has the tiny prints, cut out images and sentiments, and lots of bright colors and patterns.

The 7KidsCrafts store have so many Photoplay collections and stamps you should go check them out. They are all super fun!

I used just the paper collection for my cards, bookmark and tag today - with the exception of the stamped sentiments on the gifts, using the coordinating stamp set.

Super quick and easy cards and gifts to make in a hurry!

Make sure you check out the 7KidsCrafts store as they have lots of new releases and goodies!

Whimsy Stamps July Mini Release - Calico and cross stitch

I'm loving this adorable mini release, especially the cross stitch stamps for Whimsy Stamps. So many adorable elements to be used together or apart.

The fun Calico papers which have been released are also adorable! I decided to showcase the papers by making a quick and easy 'quilted' type card.

I chose 2 of the patterned papers which contained the same same color scheme, along with a cream neutral paper, and cut them in varying thickness strips.

I then adhered them to a scrap paper panel, and cut it down to measure 3.75" x  5". I adhered this onto a black cardstock panel which was a tiny bit bigger to give a very thin frame. I then adhered this onto a cream cardstock base measuring 4" x 5.25".

I stamped the sentiment and hearts using the Cross Stitched sentiments clear stamp set, onto some cream cardstock and cut it down into a 1" strip. I adhered this onto a piece of black cardstock to give a thin frame. This was then adhered onto the 'quilted' panel.

I die cut a couple of banners with the Quick Strips die, using some matching blue cardstock from the Otter 6x6 paper pad (a perfect color match!) and some black cardstock. I added these along with some twine from my stash.

This was all adhered onto a blue cardstock panel from the Otter 6x6 paper pack and then onto a standard A2 white card base. I finished it off with some enamel dots from my stash.

There are lots more ideas using the new release - head over the the Whimsy Stamps store and check them out!

Hogs & Kisses

The 7KidsCrafts store have so many Mama Elephant stamps - I love them all! One of the new stamps I bought was the Hogs & Kisses Samp set. This is just too cute!

My wedding anniversary is coming up next month, so. thought this was perfect!

I stamped the images and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut them out. I also stamped the sentiment and die cut it using a Whimsy Stamps die set.

I used papers from Doodlebug's new Bundle of Joy 6x6 paper pad. The soft pastels worked perfectly with the pig images.

I used dies from Queen and Co, along with Doodlebug's tiny hearts shape sprinkles.

Make sure you check out the 7KidsCrafts store as they have lots of new goodies including more of the new Mama Elephant and Doodlebug release.

Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday - Stitching

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Stitching'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

Another cute digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps - this is the adorable Baby Ellie Cuddles from the Crissy Armstrong Collection for Whimsy Stamps.

I printed out the image and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils.

I used the Whimsy Stamps Starring Hearts paper pack for this card. I cut a square measuring 3.5" x 3.5" from the pink pattern paper and then used Whimsy Stamps Pierced and Stitched Circles die set to cut out a circle from the centre. I adhered the image into the open window.

I cut a 2" strip of the heart patterned paper and adhered it onto a white cardstock panel measuring 4" x 5.25". I also added a thin strip of pink patterned paper above the 2" strip.

I adhered the square panel onto the cardstock panel and then used the Whimsy Stamps Jungle Babies clear stamp set for the sentiment.

I adhered the panel onto a standard A2 white card base and finished the card off with some grey faux stitching.

We are sponsored this week by Di's Digital Stamps, a great prize as always!

Hope you can join us!

Therm-o-web & Whimsy Stamps Collaboration Week

Whimsy Stamps and Therm O Web are teaming up once again for a fabulous week of inspiration and prizes! Be sure to visit both blogs all week long for some amazing ideas and to enter to win!
Here are the cards I created.

I began by using Rina K Design Glitz Glitter Gels from Thermoweb onto some matching colored cardstock from my stash. I used the Hello Yellow and the Screamin Green Glitz Glitter Gels on yellow and green cardstock - I then set them aside to dry.

I used Whimsy Stamps Shaker Maker Rectangles die set to create the white frame and inside piece, cutting it from a piece of white cardstock measuring 4" x 5.25". I used the inside of the frame to stencil the cloud background.

I used Rina K Designs Electro Pop Ink in Blaring Blue, along with Whimsy Stamps Swish stencil, to caret a wave effect on some blue cardstock from my stash. I also used the same Blaring Blue ink to create a cloud background, using the Whimsy Stamps Grass and Cloud Edger die to create a stencil.

I stamped the hippo and sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Hippo Beach Fun stamp set. I colored in the image with my prismacolor pencils, added white gel pen detailing and fussy cut him out. I used Whimsy Stamps Quick Strips die to cut out the sentiment banner.

Now the glitter gel is dry, I used Whimsy Stamps Build-an-Island die set to cut out the palm tree and beach, from the yellow and green glitter cardstock, and a piece of white cardstock. I colored in the tree trunk and pieced together the island. I added this behind the white frame. I popped up the hippo and frame on foam tape.

For my second card, I used Rina K Designs Neon Flock sheets in Hello Yellow. I started with stamping Whimsy Stamps Galaxy Galore background stamp in VersaMark Watermark ink onto some black cardstock. I then used Ranger's sticky embossing powder. Once heat set, this is a sticky print that allows you to adhere foil and flock to it - I ran it through my Gemini Jr to ensure it stuck properly. I love how it turned out!

I used Whimsy Stamps film strip die and cut it out of white cardstock. I adhered the galaxy background behind it.

I stamped out the images using Whimsy Stamps A boys Dream stamp set and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut them out.

I stamped the sentiment from the same A boys Dream stamp set, using the Rina K Designs Electro Pop Ink in Blaring Blue, onto one of the windows that came out of the film strip die. I popped this panel up on foam tape and added some enamel dots from my stash.

I added the film strip panel onto a white slimline card base and added all the images to finish it off.

Two super fun cards using products from Therm-o-web and Whimsy Stamps - a great combination.

Each company is giving away two $25 gift certificates - 1 on the Whimsy blog and 1 on the Therm O Web blog. To increase your chances of winning, leave a comment on each of the collaboration posts on both blogs. Comments must be left by Monday, July 19th at midnight EST, and winners will be randomly-selected and announced on Wednesday, July 21st.
