Whimsy Stamps - Teddy Hula

This is an older Whimsy Stamps set by Lee Holland 'Beary Fun', but it is still one of my favorites!

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then used my new Scan'n'Cut to cut it out (my Christmas present to myself!! Lol!).
I used the new Sun Rays stencil with squeezed lemonade distress ink, on white cardstock. I then added some extra ink to soften the white rays, and used my pencils to add a few more details.
The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the For The Men stamp set. I added the black lines underneath using a fine pen.
The papers were from my stash, and the edge die cut using the Stitched Border Trio Die set.
I finished the card off with a few enamel dots from the Christmas Cheer collection and a teal cardstock border.

MFT Sketch #369

I love January's release over at My Favorite Things - the valentine/love theme is just adorable!

I used the new Pure Innocence Blowing Kisses stamp set for the girl and sentiment.
I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and paper pieced her dress, using papers from the Hearts and Stripes 6x6 paper pad.
I cut out the heart using the new Peek-a-Boo Striped Heart die and then mounted the white cardstock onto the red striped paper from the Hearts and Stripes paper pack.
I stamped the sentiment on paper from my stash, using Versamark watermark ink, and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder to make the sentiment 'pop'. I added some hand drawn stitching detail on the banner.
I stamped some hearts in red ink to finish the card off.

I used this week's My Favorite Things sketch #369 for inspiration to make this simple card.

Cute Card Thursday - Buttons

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Buttons'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I chose to use this super adorable 'Duck with Presents' digital stamp by Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then used my scan n cut to cut it out.
I love the My Favorite Things Blueprints dies and used sets #27 & #29 to make this card. I love easy it is to make fun cards just using the dies in the sets.
The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things 'All Smiles' stamp set, which I heat embossed using clear embossing powder on top of the black ink.
The papers are from Doodlebug's 'kraft in color' and 'gingham-linen rainbow petite prints' paper pads.

We have a new sponsor this week - Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez. I hope to see you joining in the challenge this month.

Gorjuss Girls birthday

So i have now discovered another favorite brand of stamps at the Crafty Doodle Chick Store - the Gorjuss Girls by Santoro Stamps!!!! They are super cute images on red rubber that stamp out perfectly every time! There are so many to choose from and they are super cheap - great value for money!
I used the adorable 'Ladybird' (No.5) stamp for my card.

I colored her using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut her out.
I used all MFT products on this card - not that I'm obsessed with this company at all! LOL!
I used Precious Poloroids die set to cut out the photo frame from white cardstock.
I used the Blueprints #30 set to make the background and cut out the different elements, from MFT's Party Patterns paper pack.
The banner has the 'lift' label from the Interactive Labels stamp set which turned the card into a gift card holder!! (I used mini glue dots to attach the gift card - this way it can be pulled off without ripping the card).

The sentiments were stamped using the All Smiles sentiment set.
A little bakers twine finishes the card off!

You'll find these products in the Crafty Doodle Chick shop:

MFT Sketch #368

I love my new Die-namics Cross Stitch Tag from My Favorite Things - I've spent hours looking through pinterest for patterns and stitching patterns in the evenings. It's so therapeutic!
I used this week's My Favorite Things sketch #368 for inspiration to make this simple card.

I stitched this design , wanting to leave a gap in between the hearts for the sentiment strip (as on the sketch).
I then cut out a window from the white cardstockbackground, to allow me to stick the cross stitching behind.
I used a corner rounder for the 2 opposite corners (the stitched mod rectangle die-namics set is still on my wishlist!!) and mounted it on red cardstock - rounding the 2 opposing corners again.
I drew on the black line detail using a fine black pen and ruler.
The sentiment was stamped using the Essential Sentiments stamp set and Versamark watermark ink. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I added a little stitch detail with a white gel pen to tie the theme all together. I popped this sentiment banner up on pop dots for more dimension.
I finished it off with a few red enamel dots.

Whimsy Stamps - CAS Believe in Yourself

This is a couple of older Whimsy Stamp sets, but they work perfectly together to create a simple CAS style card.
I used the Bee-Cause stamp set for the flower and leaf images, and the Bold Statements stamp set for the sentiment.

I stamped the images and sentiment using Versamark Watermark ink and then heat embossed them using white embossing powder.
I then used Peacock Feathers, Broken China and Cracked Pistachio distress inks, blended them together to create the background. I then used a piece of kitchen towel to remove any ink from on top of the white embossing.
I added a little coordinating baker's twine and mounted onto a white card base.
Quick and easy, but very effective.

Cute Card Thursday - Something Fun

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Something Fun'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I made this super fun card using My Favorite Things 'Recipe For Happiness' stamp set. There are so many fun images and sentiments in this set, you could make a dozen cards without any of them being the same!

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out.
I used My Favorite Things Blueprints die-namics set #13 to cut out all of the different paper elements. I stamped the 'spice shaker' using My Favorite Things cement gray ink, to add some pattern to the white banner. The sentiment is from the Recipe for Happiness stamp set.
The patterned papers are from My Favorite Things Painted Prints Citrus (now retired) and Party Patterns paper packs.
Some matching baker's twine from my stash and a little doodling finished the card off.

I used the current color combo (challenge #85) for this card:

Whimsy Stamps Challenge #103 - Anything Goes

It is the start of a new challenge over on the Whimsy Inspires Challenge blog, with the theme as always 'Anything Goes'.

I'm loving these love/valentine themed digi's released this month.
I used this adorable pig image and sentiment from the Love Me Tender digital set by Tracy Wray.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out.
The background hearts are from the Love You Sheet sentiment/image set
I printed this and the sentiment out directly onto the cardstock, popping up the pig on top.
I added a thin pink border and white card base.
A nice CAS style card, where the image and sentiment do all the talking!

Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday - Something New

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Something New'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

The image I chose this month from All Dressed Up Stamps is
'Bon Voyage'. I decided to use a NEW stamp with a theme about a NEW adventure.

I colored the image using prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out.
I used My Favorite Things Blueprints set #32. I love these blueprints dies - they make designing and putting together cards super easy. I copied the design of a card made by Vika Salmina.
The gray patterned paper is from My Favorite Things Gray & White Basics paper pack, with the blue from my stash.
The sentiment was stamped from the My Favorite Things 'Adventure is Calling' stamp set (now retired) and then cut out using dies from the blueprints set.

We are sponsored this week by All Dressed Up Stamps, a great prize as always!
Hope you can join us! See you there!
