Happy Scrapper!

So this is the first scrapbook layout I have been able to show you in a while - this one is just for fun! These photos were taken this summer when my parents and sister came over to visit from the UK. As you may know - my mum was an avid scrapbooker WAY before me - and was actually the one who got me started in all this paper crafting almost 2 years ago. She was desperate to come over and find all the scrappy stores, and had been asking me to order products from long before she arrived! So, bearing in mind that she already HAD loads of products, we still had to hit the stores and buy even more! We were very worried towards the end of the holiday if they would actually be able to fit it all in their suitcases to take home!
I used a sketch from Scrapmuch? for this layout:
 And here is my layout:
I used My Minds Eye 'On the bright side' collections.
Well, my mum had brought over SO much chocolate and sweets and gifts for the kids, she managed to get it all home - in the same number of suitcases they brought with them and without having to pay for excess baggage!!! You can just imagine HOW much chocolate she actually brought over!!! :-)

  1. This is so precious, love those pics of your mum, fantastic layout too, gorgeous papers!
    have a great weekend, Debxx

  2. Jealous of both of you! I would love some REAL Cadbury chocolate as well as a trip to ScrapbookSteals! And I love your layout - Great use of the banners on this.

  3. Great layout! I love your interpretation of the sketch!

  4. fabulous layout Kerys! love that this page is about your hobby! thanks for sharing with us at ScrapMuch?!!

  5. Stunning!! I love the colours you used. They really make the page pop!! The pocket embellie is adorable!! Thanks for playing along with ScrapMuch?

  6. You share a very wonderful gift with your mum & I'm so happy you had such a lovely time hitting all the wonderful shops with her. Family time is so special, especially when yours has to travel all the way from the U.K.!!! That had to be ALOT of chocolate!! I can't believe (considering the weight of paper!) she managed to fit everything back in the original luggage AND not go overweight!! That's a skill of it's own, right there! LoL!! I'm glad you finally were able to scrap about you for a change!! I bet ur mum is extremly proud of ur success & the part she played by mentoring you into the successful woman u are today!!! <3

  7. Super fun! I love how you've journalled on one of the pennants! Fabulous stitched circle too! LOVE IT! Thanks for playing along with us at ScrapMuch?!!!
