Winter Love

And here is my card:

I used Bella Blvd's 'Winter Wonder' and 'Hello Beautiful' papers and stickers. I did try my hand at 'flocking' - the snowflake - although the white flock doesn't show up too well. It does add a bit of texture and dimension when you look at it up close!

Dog days

One of the recent challenges over at Studio Calico is to scrap something from my daily/weekly routine. The main part of my day is spent with the dog! He is such a baby and never leaves my side - so I thought it appropriate to scrap pictures of him! We have just had the first snowfall of this year (UGH!) but he LOVES it! He loves to chase his ball in the garden, and ends up completely covered in snow! Quite cute really!
Here is my layout:
Along with papers from Studio Calico's 'Heyday' and 'Memoir' collections. The chipboard shapes and alphas are also Studio Calico, along with Bella Blvd's washi tape and Lawn Fawn's stamps.

Let's Get Sketchy - challenge #35

So this week over at Let's Get Sketchy was something a little different! It was 'scraplift' week! We were all given another DT member to scrap lift - I had to scrap lift one of Michelle's layouts. For those of you who know me or follow my blog - you know I like to create clean and simple pages. Michelle's style is the COMPLETE opposite of mine! She creates beautiful vintage or distressed layouts - so this was a REAL challenge for me!
Here is Michelle's layout that I chose to scrap lift:
 And here is my layout:
I used a variety of My Mind's Eye 'Lost and found' collections, along with American Crafts ribbon and recollections flowers.
I was completely out of my comfort zone with this one and it seemed to take me an age to complete!
Head on over to the Let's Get Sketchy blog for more DT scrap lift's, and to choose your own layout to 'lift'!

The Cutting Cafe - Halloween

This week's theme over on The Cutting Cafe is Halloween! I am showing you a card that has already been shown on this blog, but is SO cute it just HAD to be shown again!!! :-)

The Cutting Cafe file used:
Other supplies used:
Authentique 'Enchanted' 6x6 paper pad
Washi tape

I printed the witches legs and shoes, along with the sentiment, onto the card base and then fussy cut the legs out. I then used green and purple washi tape to create the striped socks! The boots were then printed out again on another piece of card and I fussy cut the boot strap and backed it with more washi tape. SO cute if I say so myself!!! :-)

Hope you like it! I'll be back next week with another great set!
Don't forget to check out The Cutting Cafe blog for more inspirational projects and prizes!
Happy scrapping :-)

Happy Scrapper!

So this is the first scrapbook layout I have been able to show you in a while - this one is just for fun! These photos were taken this summer when my parents and sister came over to visit from the UK. As you may know - my mum was an avid scrapbooker WAY before me - and was actually the one who got me started in all this paper crafting almost 2 years ago. She was desperate to come over and find all the scrappy stores, and had been asking me to order products from ScrapbookSteals.com long before she arrived! So, bearing in mind that she already HAD loads of products, we still had to hit the stores and buy even more! We were very worried towards the end of the holiday if they would actually be able to fit it all in their suitcases to take home!
I used a sketch from Scrapmuch? for this layout:
 And here is my layout:
I used My Minds Eye 'On the bright side' collections.
Well, my mum had brought over SO much chocolate and sweets and gifts for the kids, she managed to get it all home - in the same number of suitcases they brought with them and without having to pay for excess baggage!!! You can just imagine HOW much chocolate she actually brought over!!! :-)

Update!

Just in case you thought I had dropped off the face of the earth - as I haven't posted since Monday (very unusual for me!!) - I have been busy getting my Design Team layouts ready for upcoming challenges and completing AAM pages and ATC's for this weekend's ScrapbookSteals.com retreat!
I had 27 All About Me pages and 17 Artist trading cards to make!!!! It was a bit like a production line! I started off with the design for the pages - and by the end I was REALLY wishing I hadn't done so many elements on each page!!! That was tough going! But I am SOOOOO excited about the retreat - I went last year and had SO much fun! I'm like a kid at Christmas! I will post the completed page and ATC tomorrow and then it is 2 days of FUN!!
I'll post my completed layouts and make-and-takes on Monday! We have got Lifestyle Crafts, Echo Park, My Mind's Eye, We Are Memory Keepers & American Crafts doing classes! Also, a warehouse tour ALL morning tomorrow! I don't think I can contain my excitement!!! WOOHOO!
Off to pack my scrappy bag - the big question is what to take??? I always plan my layouts in advance but generally forget to take SOMETHING! Maybe I'll forget some things on purpose so I just HAVE to buy something!!
Have a great weekend - I know I will!
Happy Scrapping :-)
