Quick and Simple Snowflake card

A super simple, quick and easy Christmas card using the awesome Linda Levoir's class at the recent Whimsy retreat for inspiration.

I used a snowflake background paper from Echo Park. The other supplies are from Whimsy Stamps - and were given to us in card kits during the retreat.

Supplies used from Whimsy Stamps:

A trio of tags

I love making homemade tags to go with gifts, especially at Christmas time.

I made a trio of tags using a variety of images from Sassy Cheryl Stamps.

The first tag uses an image called 'Fa-la-la-la Snowman'.

I used paper and ribbon from my stash, and made the banner using my silhouette software. The snowflake die is from Whimsy Stamps 'Layered Snowflake Dies'.

The second tag uses the image 'Christmas Package Overload'.

I used paper from Whimsy Stamps 'Christmas Cheer' designer paper pad and popped the frame up for added dimension.

The third tag uses 'Downhill Slope Santa'. One of my favorite images!!!

I stamped the words and the heat embossed them using snow embossing powder. A little glitter for the snow (which unfortunately doesn't show up too well in the photograph) and a simple color combo!

Hope you like them and thanks for looking!

Kit & Clowder Card Swap

I am joining in the Kit & Clowder card swap this month - the theme is 'Friendship'.
I used the image 'Sweetly Susie' by Elizabeth Bell, available to purchase from Whimsy Stamps.

I used items from the awesome Whimsy Stamps craft retreat in Florida - this class was done by the great Iris Wiechmann. I put my own twist on the card kit she gave us, and stamped/embossed the sentiment. This is not normally my style to do the distressing and add flowers, but i'm loving how it turned out!

The die cut flourish is now on my wishlist from whimsy stamps too! The papers are from Whimsy stamps 'Winter Wishes' collection.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils, stamped the sentiment in transparent and used white embossing powder.

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything Goes'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I know my Mum prefers cards without images, so this design was perfect for her!

I used papers from My Mind's Eye 'Lost & Found - Ruby' 6x6 paper pad. I cut out the scalloped squares/circles on my silhouette and popped them up on the base. Some stitching and button sentiment finished the card off.

We are sponsored this week by Bunny Zoe's Crafts, a great prize as always!

Scruffy Bella!

I am so lucky to have just returned from a Whimsy Stamps retreat in Florida!
I had a blast! Great designers and classes - SO much inspiration and creativity it was mind blowing.

This card is inspired by a class taught by the awesome (and very funny!) Faye Wynn-Jones.

I used the image 'Bad Hair Day' from Sassy Cheryl Stamps.

I colored her in using prismacolor pencils, and then fussy cut out the image.
The grass background was made using inks blown on acetate.
I added a cute banner and enamel dots, with a sentiment from the stamp set 'Snowflake Wishes' from Whimsy Stamps.
