Cute Card Thursday - Feminine

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Feminine'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used these adorable image from My Favorite Things Unicorns and Glitter stamp set - available in the 7KidsCraft store.

I stamped the images and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut them out.

I stamped a panel of white cardstock with MFT's Simple Snowflakes background and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then blended wilted violet and worn lipstick distress oxide inks over the top, wiping away the excess ink from the embossing. I cut this panel down to 4" x 5.25".

I cut a white cardstock panel measuring 3.5" x 4.75". I then used the stitched circle die from MFT's Shaker Flower die set (now retired) to cut a window in the panel. I adhered this on top of the blended background panel.

I stamped the sentiment from MFT's Double the Fun stamp set and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then used a banner die from MFT's Blueprints #28 die set (now retired). I added this to the panel.

I then adhered the whole panel onto a standard A2 white card base, finishing off the card by popping the images up on foam dots.

We are sponsored this week by Oddball Art Co., a great prize as always!

Hope you can join us!

No job is complete....Gnome Outhouse!

Have you seen the newly released Gnome Outhouse from Dustin Pike for Whimsy Stamps? I love his adorable gnomes, and this outhouse gnome is just brilliant!

I merged the image and one of the sentiments together to make one cohesive image and then printed it out onto white cardstock. I then colored it in with my prismacolor pencils, added some white gel pen detailing and fussy cut it out.

For the big white background I stamped the Whimsy Stamps Galaxy Galore background stamp and heat embossed it with white embossing powder for a subtle tone-on-tone panel. I used my corner rounder to round the 2 bottom corners. I then mounted this onto a slightly larger piece of Kraft cardtsock, rounding those corner too.

I stamped the 'wood' strip, using Whimsy Stamps Farmhouse Shiplap background stamp with tea dye and gathered twigs distress inks - blending them directly onto the stamp before stamping. I cut this into a 2" strip and mounted it again onto some Kraft cardstock. I used a scrap piece of previously stamped grey Whimsy Stamps Galaxy Galore background stamp as a small tab, and adhered the strip to the card panel.

I added some red and white bakers twine from my stash and added the panel to a top folding standard A2 white card base. I rounded the bottom corners to match the panel.

I finished off the card by popping up the image with foam tape.

I love how this card turned out.

Thanks for looking.
Head on over to the store and grab yourself another fun gnome image!

Saturday Live - Crafty Catch Up #4

It was so nice to be able to catch up and craft with friends over zoom and messenger video today. Lots of good friends I have met through Whimsy Stamps craft retreats.

Today's challenge was to use the freebie image You Mean the Word To Me from Whimsy Stamps and a button. Here is my card:

I printed out the image and colored it using my prismacolor pencils. I loved the title of the image so found a similar font to the sentiments included, and typed that out, printing it underneath the image.

I used Whimsy Stamps Rounded Rectangle die set to cut the image panel out. I added it to some blue cardstock from my stash and rounded the corners to match.

I stamped the background using Whimsy Stamps Galaxy Galore background stamp and Pinkfresh Studio ink cubes in Stargazer, Sapphire, Blue Jay and Slumber, to create an ombre effect. This panel was cut down to 5" x 5".

I used some of the same blue cardstock from my stash to die cut a scalloped border using Whimsy Stamps Kinetic Straight Basics die set. I added a thin strip of green cardstock from Whimsy Stamps Giraffe 6x6 paper pad and added some backers twine too. This was all adhered onto a blue cardstock panel measuring 5.25" x 5.25".

This was then all adhered to a 5.5" x 5.5" square white card base.

Thanks for looking.

Stay safe. Happy crafting x

Quick and Easy Birthday Card

I love the Catherine Pooler stamp sets, and they make some quick and easy cards when you're in a hurry. Check out the Catherine Pooler collections in the 7kidscraft store.

I used the Spot On stamp set along with Catherine Pooler's Party Collection mini inks.

This card took me 10 minutes to complete - and I love the masculine feel to it.

I stamped the happy circle and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder for a little added texture. I stamped the birthday sentiment, cut it into a thin strip and popped it up on foam tape.

Check out the 7kidscraft store for lots more Catherine Pooler stamp sets - and there are LOTS ON SALE! Grab them while you can!

Thanks for looking.

Cute Card Thursday - Dotty

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Dotty'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used one of Whimsy Stamps adorable digital images - 'Poppy' for this card.

I printed her out onto white cardstock and colored her in with my prismacolor pencils. I added glossy accents to the bubbles.

I used Echo Park's 'Spring' paper collection. I cut a panel of the blue patterned cardstock to measure 4" x 5.25", and die cut the pink patterned paper using Whimsy Stamps Wavy Edgers die set. I adhered this onto the blue panel.

I cut out the vellum using Whimsy Stamps Shaker Maker Banner die set and adhered this on to the panel.

I wrapped some bakers twine around the top of the panel and added a bow.

I adhered the panel onto a standard A2 white card base, and popped up the sentiment from the Echo Park sticker sheet in the collection. I added some hearts to the vellum banner.

I finished the card off by popping up the image on foam dots.

We are sponsored this week by My Creative Scoop, a great prize as always!

Hello Bluebird Portrait Pals

I absolutely love these Hello Bluebird stamps, peeking over the edge of things! I used the Portrait Pals , available in the 7KidsCraft store, which are a super cute set of jungle animals!

I stamped the animals and leaves using the Portrait Pals stamp set, and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut them out.

I used papers from Echo Park's Jungle Safari 6x6 paper pad and used Kristie Marcott's first challenge to use a sketch:

This sketch worked perfectly for the animals on this card. I love how it turned out!

This stamp set can be found in the 7KidsCraft store, along with a TON more goodies from lots of different brands. Go check them out!

7 Kids Craft Store's Exclusive First Ever Clear Stamps!

I am super excited to be a part of this, and able to use the first ever kitty stamps designed by 7 Kids Crafts!!! They are available in the 7KidsCraft store now!

I made this adorable "You Leave Paw Prints on my heart" card using the adorable Kitten Frills stamp set.

I stamped the image and colored it in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut it out.

I die cut the scallop circle using Lawn Fawn's Outside In stitched Scalloped Circle stackables - this is the middle piece that comes out of the die. I used patterned papers from my stash.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark watermark ink and the Kitten Frills stamp set, and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to make it stand out. I cut this into a banner shape.

I pieced the card together, adding the kitten directly to the panels and then onto a standard A2 white card base.

I used the new MFT Sketch #485 along with the Friends Furever stamp set for this card.

I stamped the image and colored it in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut it out.

I used MFT papers from the Hearts and Stripes, and Calm & Cozy Chevron paper packs. I die cut them using MFT's Wine Tag and Stitched Scallop Basic Edge dies to recreate the banner and waves on the sketch. I added this to a white panel of cardstock measuring 3.75" x 5". I stamped the sentiment from the Friends Furever stamp set.

I added some backers twine from my stash and then adhered this onto a grey pattern panel from Calm & Cozy Chevron measuring 4" x 5.25".

Saturday Live - Crafty Catch Up #3

It was so nice to be able to catch up and craft with friends over messanger video today. Lots of good friends I have met through Whimsy Stamps craft retreats.

Today's challenge was to use the freebie image Toilet Paper Dudley from Whimsy Stamps. Here is my card:

I decided to take on another challenge set by Kristie Marcotte (The Best Things in Life Are Pink) to make a black and white card with a pop of color. I also chose to use the same sketch as she did too:

I printed out the image and colored it using my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut it out and added some white gel pen dots to his body.

I cut out a white cardstock panel measuring 4" x 5.25". I used Whimsy Stamps Farmhouse Basket stencil, and added some VersaMark Watermark ink to the background through the stencil. I then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder for a tone-on-tone textured background.

I stamped the Whimsy Stamps Lots of Dots and Messy Mesh background onto some scrap pieces of cardstock using some black ink. I then cut these into strips, adding one to a piece of black cardstock and adhered them to my white card panel.

I then die cut another piece of white cardstock using Whimsy Stamps Tombstone Tag die set (now retired) and adhered this to the white panel.

I printed out the freebie sentiment that came with Toilet Paper Dudley, and used Whimsy Stamps Quick Strips die set to cut it into a banner. I also used the same die to cut out a black banner and added these to the card panel.
I finished off the card by popping up the dragon on foam dots and adhering it all onto a standard A2 black card base.

Can't wait to see what the challenge is for next week, and catch up with my crafty friends.

I am also entering this card into Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - 'E' is for - in this case mine is for embossing.

Thanks for looking.

Stay safe. Happy crafting x

I made this adorable "Diamonds Are A Kitties Best Friend" card for the release today.

Whimsy Stamps Mini Release - Cute Cacti #3

For my final card, I decided to do more of an anniversary/love card using the 'You're Stuck with me' sentiment.

I stamped the images from the Cute Cacti clear stamp set and colored them with my prismacolor pencils. I then used the coordinating Cute Cacti Outline dies to cut them out.

I cut a white panel of cardstock measuring 4" x 5.25" and added the strip of die cut flowers using the new Whimsy Stamps Spring Edgers die set. I added some small enamel dots to every other flower.

I stamped the sentiment from the Cute Cacti clear stamp set with green ink and added the images to the panel.

I adhered the panel onto a black cardstock panel measuring 4.125" x 5.325" and then onto a standard A2 white card base.

I finished the card off with some enamel hearts from my stash.

A quick and easy card!

They hope to inspire people to create and send handmade cards during this time of social distancing, while also encouraging people to stay home and help stop the spread of the virus.

This hop has 31 sponsors, which means LOTS of PRIZES!!! Some of the sponsors are also offering freebies or discounts, which can be found on the company blogs, so be sure to visit each sponsor. Winners will be randomly drawn from all of the comments left on the collective blog posts, and the deadline to leave comments and be entered to win is April 24. Winners will be announced on Monday, April 27, on the Catherine Pooler and Hedgehog Hollow blogs. Whimsy Stamps is proud to sponsor this hop and is offering a $15 gift certificate to their shop at EACH of their designers' blogs participating in this hop. That means one of you reading this post will WIN! Woohoo!

So go grab a cuppa and settle down for lots of fun cards and inspiration form all the sponsors, and enter for your chance to win lots of prizes!

Without further ado, here is the card I have made for the swap, featuring WHIMSY STAMPS products.

I used the Spring Gnomes digital stamp set for this card. I printed him out onto white cardstock and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I added some white gel pen detailing to his hat and then fussy cut him out. I love using digital stamps as I can resize them, flip them, rotate them and play around with them before I print them out.

I printed out the digital sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Big Wishes set, onto white cardstock and cut the panel down to 3.75" x 5". I then used some antique linen distress ink and the Whimsy Stamps Giraffe Stencil to add a little color and depth to the background panel.

I added the panel onto some blue glitter cardstock measuring 4" x 5.25". This was then adhered to standard A2 white card base.

I finished off the card by adhering the gnome directly on top.

I hope I have inspired you to stay home and create some cards! You should check out all the gnomes (and other digital stamps) in the Whimsy Stamps store - they are just adorable and are available for instant download so you can start crafting right away!

Don't forget to leave a comment on this post and answer the question:

What is the name of the other Gnome themed digital stamp set released by Whimsy Stamps this month?

Good luck and keep on hopping! Stay home & stay safe x
