Christmas Coffee Gift

I'm up on the Crafty Doodle Chick blog today with a super cute card using lots of different brands of stamps and dies. Most of these are available in the Crafty Doodle Chick Store.

I started by stamping the image from Your Next Stamp 'Hammie Coffee & Tea' stamp set. I stamped this onto white cardstock and pattern paper from my stash. I colored the image using my prismacolor pencil and then paper pieced on the mug. I fussy cut this image out.

I love to use stamps for reasons they are not always intended. I decided to make this card into a Christmas themed card holding a gift card. I used Lawn Fawn's 'Stitched Gift Card Pocket' die to cut out the gift card holder and added it to a tag I cut out by hand. I added the image to the front and popped in a starbucks gift card.

I used MFT's 'Handwritten Holiday' stamp set for the sentiment and snowflakes.  I heat embossed these with white embossing powder.

I added some baker's twine and then adhered it all to a 5.5"x5.5" square kraft card base.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the Crafty Doodle Chick blog for lots of inspiration from the rest of the design team

31 Nights of Halloween with Whimsy Stamps

It's nearly the end of the month and time for those trick or treaters to have fun! It's almost the last day for your chance to win some prizes on the Whimsy Stamps 31 Nights of Halloween event.

Lots of inspiration from the design team all month long and lots of prizes to be won! Head to the main blog post for details:
My inspirational card was actually featured in Making Cards Magazine this month - my first ever publication! I was super excited! I do have to give credit to Deb Davis from Whimsy Stamps for the awesome stamp set she designed. I used the Halloweeners stamp set as my inspiration for this card.

I created my background panel using a variety of distress oxides - mowed lawn and crushed olive for the grass, wilted violet, chipped sapphire and black soot for the sky. I added some water splatters to the ink to create the 'star' effect in the sky and used the grass and cloud edger die set to cut the grass panels.

All of the characters were stamped from the Halloweeners stamp set and colored in using my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut them out.

The gravestones were cut using Dracula's Coffin die set. The larger one I only partially die cut to give me an interactive opening grave stone. I added some distressing to dirty up the gravestones and also did the same on the sentiment strip. The sentiment on the outside of the gravestone was from the Grim Reaper stamp set.

I added a ghost inside of the gravestone for a fun interactive element

This was such a fun card to make and I love how easily the scene came together.

Now time to head on over to the Whimsy Store for some essential retail therapy!

Cute Card Thursday - Sparkles

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Sparkles'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I am currently enjoying making mini albums, and decided that this image from Whimsy Stamps would be perfect for a Halloween themed album.
I used the digital stamp called 'Jack'.

I printed out the image and colored it with my copic pens. This was my first real coloring attempt with copics - not as bad as i thought it would be!! I then fussy cut him out.

I made the mini album using Halloween papers from my stash. These were mainly Doodlebug papers which worked perfectly with this image.

The title of the book 'BOO' was created using purple glitter cardstock from one of the Whimsy Stamps Paper Door Kits and the Bold ABC dies set.

We are sponsored this week by Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez, a great prize as always. I hope to see you joining in the challenge this month.

Cute Card Thursday - Food/Drink

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Food/Drink'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I have loved so many of the products from Simon Says Stamp's Stamptember release, and this set was no exception. I used Heffy Doodle's 'More than S'mores' stamp set for the image and sentiment. (As this was a Stamptember products, they are exclusive and only made in a limited quantity - once they are gone they are gone. Unfortunately this one sold out and will not be replaced).

I stamped the images and then colored them in using my prismacolor pencils. I fussy cut these images out and then glued the coffee cups into the reindeers hands.

I used Lawn Fawn's 'Mini Picture Frames' dies along with the new 'Knit Picky Fall' paper collection. I used Lawn Fawn's 'Milk Carton' die - which fit perfectly onto the 6x6 paper pad (2 pieces of the 6x6 cardstock are needed).

I finished the milk carton by using the sentiment strip and coloring it with my pencils, and then added a small clothes pin and some bakers twine. A super cute, easy treat box.

We are sponsored this week by Di's Digi Stamps, a great prize as always!

Hope you can join us!

Without further ado, let me share another one of the projects I created with this amazing kit.

I started by stamping the elf and using my prismacolor pencils to color it in. I then used the coordinating die set from the kit to cut him out.

I cut a panel of white cardstock measuring 3 3/4" x 5" and ran it through my big shot machine using a Darice 'Wire Fence' embossing folder from Whimsy Stamps. I then used a soft brush to gently brush on some 'tumbled glass' distress ink

I die cut the Christmas tree from some blue glittery cardstock using Whimsy Stamps 'Funky Christmas Tree die'. I adhered this directly onto the panel.

I then stamped the sentiment from the 'Elf Sized' stamp set using VersaFine CLAIR 'Paradise' ink pad.

The elf was popped up on foam dots and some enamel dots from Whimsy Stamps 'Winter Wishes' collection.

This was then adhered onto a blue glittery cardstock panel and then onto a standard A2 card base.

Now, if you want to get your hands on this awesome kit, be sure to place your order.  You don’t want to miss this one, I promise!

A Great BIG Thank You

I'm up on the Crafty Doodle Chick blog today with a clean and simple card using My Favorite Things products.
Some of these are available in the Crafty Doodle Chick Store.

I die cut the MFT cross stitch flower frame from some lilac cardstock and used coordinating floss to add the cross stitching.
I used an MFT shaker flower die-namic set to cut out the blue flower and green stem and leaves. I used the coordinating MFT circle shaker pouch to add some white sequins from my stash and make this into an interactive card. This was all adhered to a white cardstock panel measuring 3.75"x5".

I stamped the sentiment using 2 of the sentiment strips from MFT's Gift Card Greetings stamp set.

I then adhered this panel onto a dark grey panel measuring 4"x5.25", and then onto a standard A2 white card base.

An easy card anyone can make!
