Artful Delight - be fabulous everyday!

Here is my final layout of this month as an Artful Delight designer:

The solid colored twine and the hessian circle are both embellishments in the kit. I decided to wrap the twine around in a circle to add more dimension and effect the the group of embellishments (the Doodlebug button is from my stash).

I love the mix of papers in the kit - these are from Simple Stories 24/seven, Studio Calico snippets and My Minds Eye Collectable. They all go together so well. The title is from SC and SS on another matching hessian circle. Faux stitching and the tab sticker jus add the right amount interest too.

And I SO love the stickers that come with every Simple Stories collection.

I used the sketch #34 from Sketch'n'scrap for this layout
(which I rotated quarter turn anti-clockwise - I seem to do that a lot!!):

Don't forget it is the reveal of the new July kit on Monday - make sure you come back!
Until next week......happy scrapping! :-)

Cute Card Thursday - Fly like a bird

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Fly like a bird'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.
I used Pebbles 'Family Ties' papers - full of birds and birdhouses. I looked at Silhouette online, and found these cute birdhouse treat boxes and bird cutting files, and so decided to take a break from making a card this week.

The 3d tote file from the Silhouette store is a perfect treat box for any occasion. It is a plain tote that you can embellish however you wish. I used more cutting files for the birds and sun, along with a sentiment from The Alley Way stamps and hershey kiss bottoms from The Cutting Cafe.

The birdhouse is another cutting file from the Silhouette store. Another cute little treat box.

We are sponsored this week by Alota Stamps, a great prize as always!

Happy crafting :-)

Artful Delight - Goodbye

This month's kit is so unbelievably yummy! Here is my third layout of this month as an Artful Delight designer:

The journal cards are from Studio Calico's 'Snippets' collection which can be pulled from behind the main body of the layout.

These small journal cards are cut from one of the 12x12 pieces of Simple Stories 24/seven collection. The title and word stickers are from the same collection, with the paper clip coming from the bag of 'extra' embellishments in the kit.

More fussy cutting fro Simple Stories '24/seven' collection. mixed with Studio Calico's 'snippets' collection of papers too!

I used the current sketch from BoysRule scrapbook kits for this layout
(which I rotated quarter turn anti-clockwise):

I would love to see you over on the Artful Delight blog, joining in with this month's challenge! There is a card sketch too!
Until next week......happy scrapping! :-)

Cute Card Thursday - In the summertime!

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'In the summertime'
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.
I used an image from Karen's Doodles which I colored with my prismacolor pencils. I decided on a shaped card for a change this week - the circle is from Little Yellow Bicycle's 'Escape' collection of 6x6 decorative edge card stock, which I just added some stitching to. The rest of the papers are from Simple Stories 'Summer fresh' collection.

We are sponsored this week by Whimsy Stamps, a great prize as always!

Paper Secrets June 15th challenge

This is the second challenge for June over on the Paper Secrets blog
Remember - there is a twist to the challenges!
Here is the sketch:

And the twist to this challenge is to use a product with numbers (aside from numbers) such as bingo cards, price tags, rulers etc

Here is my layout:

I used Lily Bee's 'Buttercup' collection, Queen & Co washi tape (for the banner), baker's twine and a few other random elements I found lying around!
I used a Martha Stewart border punch and added a little extra stitching (you know I can't make a layout without a LITTLE bit of stitching!!)

I have no idea where this numbered journalling card came from but I found it in my box of 'bits and bobs' - it fit the color scheme perfectly and completed the twist to the challenge!

I am so in love with my Silhouette now! I love all the titles and phrases that are on hand - this one worked perfectly. I will add in the journalling at a later date. The 'hello' embellishment was also another random find!!

I'd love to see you joining in the challenge for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Paper Secrets shop.
See you over on the Paper Secrets blog!

I am also entering this layout into the 'anything goes' challenge over on the Twinery blog.

Happy scrapping :-)

Artful Delight - End of an awesome 4th Grade!

This month's kit is so unbelievably yummy! Here is my second layout of this month as an Artful Delight designer:

I used Studio Calico's 'Snippets' collection of papers and some cool stick pins made from wood and cork. I 'popped' the photos up and used the pop dots to stick my pins into.

This month's kit contains a stamp set from Teresa Collins called 'summer stories'. These worked perfectly to highlight the journalling on the layout. I also cheated, and discovered how to do the journalling on AI and print it out on the scrapbooking paper (I hate my handwriting and so rarely journaled - you may see some more from me in the future now!!)

The title and word stickers are from Simple Stories 24/seven. Artful Delight really do mix and match manufacturers in their kits well - they all work great with one another. A little stitching in true 'Kerys' style (you know I can't have a layout or card without it!!) and its done!

I used a sketch from Pagemaps to help me with this layout:

I would love to see you over on the Artful Delight blog, joining in with this month's challenge! There is a card sketch too!
Until next week......happy scrapping! :-)

Happy Birthday Sister

Woohoo! ANOTHER 'just for fun' card!! This time I used card sketch #3 from Sketch'n'scrap:

and combined this with Pebbles 'Family Ties' collection to create a birthday card for my sister:

I fussy cut the flower and folded it for a little more dimension, and as always, added lots of hand stitching!!!! I love how this turned out!

I am also entering this card into the SWAT June basic training challenge - to use handstitching on a card/LO.

Cute Card Thursday - Once upon a time

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Once upon a time'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.
I used an image from Mo's digital pencil, colored with my prismacolored pencils, to make a princess card for a friend's daughter. I paired this with papers from Imaginisce and rub-on alpha's from Doodlebug.

We are sponsored this week by Whiff of Joy, a great prize as always!

Artful Delight - Enjoy

This month's kit is so unbelievably yummy! My favorite papers and manufacturers! The first layout of each month as an Artful Delight designer is always to use the sketch of the month. It is a pretty great sketch, with endless possibilities:

I found my photo and the big circle in the background just cried out to me to be wheel/gear of some sort. I cut this one out on my Silhouette.

I love the variety of papers and cards that come in the Simple Stories collection. I cut out the polaroid and washi from the back of a 12x12 sheet and added the red sticker. I was planning on stitching on the wheel/gear but decided to leave it with just the punched holes (you can just about see them on the photo!)

Each Simple Stories collection also comes with a sticker sheet full of fun words and quotes. I picked a few of these to make an embellishment cluster around the title.

I would love to see you over on the Artful Delight blog, joining in with this month's challenge! There is a card sketch too!
Until next week......happy scrapping! :-)

Here is the sketch:

For my card, I used Jillibean Soup's 'Macho Nacho' collection of papers - perfect for my Father's Day card!

Cute Card Thursday - Ebony & Ivory

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Ebony & Ivory!'
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.
I used 6x6 papers from My Mind's Eye 'Meadowlark' collection with a cutting file from the Silhouette store for the heart and heart frame. I cut out the heart shape from the plain white card, which I then dry embossed. I cut the heart again, along with frame, from the MME paper. The sentiment is a Doodlebug stamp which I then heat embossed with white embossing powder. A few mini pearls on the edge of the banner piece and voila! Done!

We are sponsored this week by Bunny Zoe's Crafts, a great prize as always!
Hope you can join us!

The June Scrapbook kit is definitely my favorite kit so far! Here is a picture if what is in the scrapbook kit:

And the card kit is almost the same too:

There is a mixture of Simple Stories '24/seven' collection,  Studio Calico 'Snippets' collection, My Mind's Eye 'Collectable' collection and coordinating Bazzill cardstock. There are SO many embellishments in these kits too!

Head on over to the Artful Delights blog for more details and to pick up your very own kit - it is well worth it! Check out this month's sketches and join in the challenge too!

I'll be back on Saturday with my first scrapbook layout reveal using this very kit!

Scrappy Friends June blog challenge

It's time again for a new sketch challenge and to announce my May Winner!
As you all know, my scrap buddies and I get together monthly and give you all an individual challenge and a group bonus challenge for 5 chances to win with just 1 layout!

My Recipe Challenge: You must use at least 3 patterned papers, twine &
washi.
Here's my layout - I used Fancy Pants 'Be You' collection - perfect colors for Rochelle's Pinspiration.:

I love all the stickers that you get in the Fancy Pants lines - some of these came from the brag book kit as well as the normal collection. I 'popped' the 'be happy' banner up and added the 'two berry creative twine' around the photo. I fully intended stitching around this layout - but felt that I didn't really want any more colors ro detract from the layout - so I left it as the punched holes instead!

Another part of my challenge was to use 3 or more patterned papers, along with washi tape. I added a little of the washi down the side of the layers, but also stuck it onto white paper and then cut it out for the banner.

I used Brenda's sketch, my recipe and Rochelle's Pinspiration - I didn't quite manage Kristi's technique (sorry!!)
