Whimsy Stamps Pile of Presents

We received a freebie digital image during the recent Whimsy Stamps Virtual retreat, and I love the simplicity of this image. I wanted the image to be the star of the card!

I printed the image onto a piece of white cardstock and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers. I added some white gel pen detailing and then fussy cut it out.

I used some silver glitter paper I received in one of the older Paper Door Kits and cut the circle frame using the Pierced and Stitched Circles die set. I offset this on a white cardstock panel measuring 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".

I stamped the sentiment using Santa's Train stamp set and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.

I added the panel onto a silver glitter paper panel and then onto a standard A2 white card base.

I finished off the card by adding some stickles to the ornaments and background panel.

Nice and easy!

MFT Sketch #513 - Sending Warm Hugs

It's so much fun to create just to join in a challenge! I loved this week's sketch #513 from My Favorite Things and had the perfect stamp set to use with it.

I used the Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set for this card. I stamped the image and colored it in with my new Tri-Blend Spectrum Noir pens. I then fussy cut the image out.

I copied the current sketch #513, switching it up just a little:

I used the Whimsical Woodgrain background stamp with some brown ink to stamp on to the Kraft strip. I used the same ink to stamp the coffee beans from the Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set on to some lighter Kraft cardstock.

I used patterned paper from the Happy Trails 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment was stamped using the Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set in brown ink. I finished off the card by adhering it onto a standard A2 Kraft card base and added some heart shape sprinkles.

I love how this card turned out - the sketch was perfect.

Cute Card Thursday - Sparkles

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Sparkles'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used this fun digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps called Seasons Greetings Feet. I love the simplicity of it.

As this image is a Digi, I thought it was perfect for a slimline card. I just sized it to fit in my Silhouette Studio software.

I printed it out and colored it in with my prismacolor pencils. I colored in the frame in grey copic mark and then added this onto a piece of red cardstock from my stash.

This was then adhered to a slimline card base and I added some stickies in the snow for the added sparkle!

A quick and easy Christmas card - I love it!

We are sponsored this week by Bugaboo Stamps, a great prize as always!

Stamping Bella Christmas Cards

I couldn't resist some of the new release from Stamping Bella (actually I couldn't resist LOTS of the new release!!) - I loved playing with these.

The first card uses the adorable Bundle Girl Winter Friends stamp set.

I stamped the image and colored them in using my prismacolor pencils. I added some white gel pen detailing and extended the snow line using a black memento ink pen.

I used Whimsy Stamps Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles die set to cut out the white panel. I added some Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink to the background and stamped the sentiment from the stamp set.

I added some patterned papers from Carta Bella's Hello Christmas 6x6 paper pad, and then finished off the card with some bakers twine and stickles.

For the second card, I used the adorable Snowsuit Penguins stamp set from Stamping Bella.

I used my prismacolor pencils to color in the images and added some stickles to decorate. I used patterned papers from Carta Bella's Winter Market 6x6 paper pad and stamped the sentiment from MFT's Polar Penguins stamp set.

I finished off the card with some snowflakes from my stash.

Cute Card Thursday - Stamping

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Stamping'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used another one of my favorite Whimsy Stamps clear stamp sets for this card - Winter Sports Dragons by the awesome Dustin Pike.

I stamped out the dragon and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I added some white gel pen detailing and then fussy cut him out.

I stamped the Whimsy Stamps Snow Flurry background in VersaMark Watermark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then used Speckled Egg distress oxide to blend over the top. I used a paper towel to remove the excess from the top of the embossing.

I used the Whimsy Stamps Stitched Border Trio die to cut out the slopes from vellum and Lawn Fawn's Pixie Dust glitter cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Sports Dragons stamp set, using the speckled egg distress oxide and then cut out the sentiment strip using Whimsy Stamps Quickstrips dies.

I added this to a 5.5"x5.5" white card base.

I finished off the card with some sprinkles from Queen & Co.

MFT Sketch #511 - Old Friends

It's been a while since I had the time to join in with the My Favorite Things sketch challenges, but it was a good friends birthday yesterday and MFT had the PERFECT stamp set for him! Even the kids said the stamp looked like him! Lol!

I used the Old Friends stamp set for this card. I colored the image in with my new Tri-Blend Spectrum Noir pens...ok - I found it impossible to use Copic Markers but I LOVE my new spectrum noir pens. I think it is because they have the hard nib rather than the brush tip. I fussy cut the image out.

I copied the current sketch #511, switching it up just a little:

I decided to use the large banner die from MFT Blueprints #13 (now retired) for the rectangle piece on the sketch. I stamped the sentiment from the Old Friends stamp set and added a couple of strips of patterned paper. The paper I used was from MFT Your Crafty Happy Place paper pad. I tried to make it look like an abstract outdoor scene with the trees, mountains and stars - our friend loves the outdoors and camping so this worked perfectly.

I love how this card turned out - the sketch was perfect. And he loved it!!

Cute Card Thursday - Halloween

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Halloween'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I have recently done a super fun virtual retreat with 3craftchicks, which had Joey from Photo Play Paper as a special guest. She introduced us to lots of new papers and products - some of which were the card maker series.  Fun interactive cards, ready cut and scored for you to put together and decorate!

I printed out the Whimsy Stamps Halloween Ghost Gang digital images and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut them out.

For the ink blended background, first stamped the Whimsy Stamps Galaxy Galore Background using VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then used black soot and speckled egg distress oxide inks to blend over the background, and wiped away the excess ink from the embossing using a cloth.

I used Whimsy Stamps Grass and Cloud Edger die to cut the vellum clouds for the front panel and adhered some white stars cut using the Whimsy Stamps Array of rainbows die set.

I striped paper comes from Whimsy Stamps Hocus Pocus 6x6 paper pack, and the sentiment is from the Spirited Sentiments digital stamp set.

When the edges of the card are pulled apart, the wiper card reveals another image that pops up...

I love how interactive and easy these cards are. A super fun Halloween card my niece is sure to enjoy!

Scrapbook & Cards WCMD Color Challenge

I got a chance to join in with WCMD this year and completed the Scrapbook & Cards 'Color' challenge.

I love the warm colors she used ands inspired me to take out my new Catherine Pooler Hey Pumpkin stamp set.

I was originally thinking of stamping the pumpkins in the different warm color combo, but then spotted the Catherine Pooler Faceted Slimline stencil in my stash, and decided to do a blended background with silhouetted pumpkins instead.

I masked off a centre strip on a white cardstock panel, and then used Crackling Campfire, Carved Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber distress oxides to blend the background over the Faceted Slimline stencil from Catherine Pooler.

I used the Catherine Pooler Hey Pumpkin stamp set to stamp the pumpkins and sentiment onto the cardstock panel. I then adhered the panel onto some orange cardstock and then onto a standard A2 kraft card base.

I love how this card turned out. A quick and simple card.

Scrapbook & Cards WCMD 'Inspired By' Challenge

I got a chance to join in with WCMD this year and completed the Scrapbook & Cards 'Inspired By' challenge.

I decided to choose the layout on P.49 by Nicole Nowosad titled 'Hello Autumn'. I love the colors she chose and layout of the page design. I used this to inspire my card design.

I used a variety of 6x6 paper pads for this card - Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice, Honey Bee Spring Lullaby and Echo Park Just Married. I used the free cut file from DeSoussa and shrunk the images down to fit onto my card. I then cut them using my Silhouette.

Instead of the photographs on the scrapbook layout, I substituted the 2x3 cut apart with the quote, and added some sentiment strips underneath. I finished off the card with some enamel dots.

I love how this card turned out, and there is still lots of inspiration in the magazine that I want to try.

Thanks for looking.

7KidsCraft Christmas Kids stamp set

I used the adorable Christmas Kids stamp set exclusively designed by 7KidsCrafts for another cute card! They are super adorable and coordinate perfectly with all of the other sets from 7kidscraft.

I cut a cardstock panel measuring 4"x5.25" and used PinkFresh Studio's Urban Raincoat ink cubes (misty coat) with Whimsy Stamps brick pattern stencil to add a subtle background. I then used the window pieces from MFT's Window die to cut the window panes from this panel.

I stamped the light string, sentiment and holly directly onto this panel and colored them in. I added some stickles and left it to dry.

I stamped the other images directly onto the card front, lining them up to appear inside the window. I added some PinkFresh Studio Mint ink from their Garden Stroll ink cube set to give a 'glow' in the background. I also added stickles to the images and enamel dots/star to the tree.

I popped up the panel on foam tape, lining it up with the images. I finished off the card by adding the window frame directly onto the panel, and popping up the window sill on foam tape.

I love how this card turned out.

Today I used the adorable Christmas Kids stamp set exclusively designed by 7KidsCrafts!!! They are super adorable and coordinate perfectly with all of the other sets vey 7kidscraft. I also stamped the presents from the Pizzeria Kids stamp set for this card.

I stamped the images and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut them out.

I used papers from Carta Bella's Hello Christmas 6x6 paper pad along with dies from my stash to create the scallop frame.

I cut panels of patterned cardstock from the collection. I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Kids stamp set onto some red designer cardstock and added it behind the frame.

I wrapped some twine around the panel and adhered it all to a standard A2 white card base.

I added the image on pop dots and added some sequins and stickles to finish the card off.

Cute Card Thursday - Dies & Punches

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Dies & Punches'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used the adorable 'Princess for a Day' digital image from All Dressed Up stamps.

I printed out the image and colored her in with my prismacolor pencils.

I used Whimsy Stamps Quilted Rainbow Inlaid die (the scallop outer die in the set) to cut out the image panel. I adhered this onto some yellow cardstock from my stash and then
onto a standard A2 white card base.

I finished the card off by adding 3 sequins from Dress my Craft Golden Black sequin collection.

I love how clean and simple this card turned out.
