As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used this adorable image the Whimsy Stamps store - 'Penguin Baker' by Crissy Armstrong.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and fussy cut it out.
I stamped the sentiment using the 'Bold Statements' clear stamp set.
I used papers form Simple Stories 'Pumpkin Spice' collection and added a little red baker's twine to finish the card off!

I Got Published!! - Whimsy Stamps

So, I am SUPER excited! This is the first time EVER that one of my cards has been published!! Woohoo!

If you take a look at the current issue of Rubber Stamp Madness Fall 2017 Magazine, you will see one of my cards and some of my colored images.
One of the spotlights on Whimsy Stamps is on page 26-28.

Here is my card:

I used a cutting file with my silhouette (from 'The Cutting Cafe') which cut out the outline shape of the beehive. I used embossed yellow cardstock for this.
I then used the Whimsy Stamps 'Honeycomb Pattern Die' with the same yellow cardstock to create the honeycomb pattern. I then glued this onto each individual panel (had I thought about it I would have adhered the honeycomb patterns before cutting the panels out!!)
I then doodled with some black ink to make the panels stand out a little more.
The door was made in the same way, although I used the negative part of the honeycomb die and added the black hexagons to the panel.

I used the Whimsy Stamps 'Build a Poinsettia Die' with white glitter cardstock to create the flower, folding it up along the creases for more dimension. Who says you can't just use the poinsettia dies for Christmas Cards??
I added a yellow enamel dot from Whimsy Stamps 'Christmas Cheer Collection', into the centre of the flower.
The image is from Whimsy Stamps 'Bee-cause Clear Stamp Set', colors with prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut out.
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps 'Bee Happy Clear Stamp Set', cut out using the 'Stitched Tag Dies'.

I love how this card turned out!

Cute Card Thursday - Bright Colors

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Bright Colors'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used this adorable image from the Whimsy Stamps store - 'Piggy Birthday Party' by Lee Holland.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and used the Whimsy Stamps 'Handstitched Nested Rectangles' dies to cut out the image and red cardstock.
I used Whimsy Stamps 'Bold Banners' clear stamp set along with some orange ink to create the sentiment banner.
The papers I used were Doodlebug's 'kraft in color - color' 6x6 paper pad.
Some doodling and baker's twine finishes the card off!

Whimsy Stamps August Rubber & Clear Stamp Release Day 3

Welcome to August's release of Clear & Rubber Stamps at the Whimsy Stamps store!

I used this adorable stamp from Lee Holland - Kitten Halloween.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out.
I wanted to make the image 'pop' and so used slightly 'duller' halloween papers from Authentique and My Mind's Eye.
I played about with scraps of paper in my stash and made banners and layers arranging the off centre!
I added the stamped doodled edge using the awesome FaDoodles clear stamp set.
Some bakers twine, enamel dots and a brad finished the card off!

Cute Card Thursday - Fun in the Sun

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Fun in the Sun'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I decided to use the adorable 'Teddy Best Friends' clear stamp set by Lee Holland available from Whimsy Stamps.

I used the 'Pierced Border Trio Dies' to make the rolling hill, along with the 'Slip 'n Slide die set' to make the teddy move!
I used both the positive and negative elements from the 'Stitched Cloud Die Set' and then stamped the sentiment from the 'Teddy Best Friends set' onto the largest cloud.

Whimsy Stamps August Rubber & Clear Stamp Release

Welcome to August's release of Clear & Rubber Stamps at the Whimsy Stamps store!

I used this adorable stamp from Lee Holland - Kitten & Butterfly.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out.
I wasn't sure that I wanted a sentiment on this card, so decided to make it into a scene which could be used for any occasion.
I cut out the background panel using the hand stitched nested rectangles die.
I used a stencil to ink the clouds, along with a grassy edges die set for the bottom.
I added a little doodling with a white gel marker as the base seemed a little plain (that is where I was originally planning to stamp a sentiment).

Whimsy Stamps August Challenge - Anything Goes w/twist 'Dots'

This month's challenge theme is 'Anything Goes' with the added option of 'DOTS'.
I used Kirsten Winkelbauer's 'Pumpkin Witchy' rubber stamp from July's release.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out.
I decided to make this into a shaker cards for more 'dots' for the challenge theme!
I used the 'Sweetest Birthday' clear stamp set for the 'happy' word and the 'Grim Reaper' clear stamp set (to be released tomorrow!!) for the 'halloween' word.
I used the basic border dies trio (retired) for the purple edge.
The papers are from My Mind's Eye's 'Mischievious' collection.
A little baker's twine finishes the card off!

Whimsy Stamps - Penguin Trick or Treaters

I just LOVE these penguins from Crissy Armstrong! I love them dressed up in costumes for Halloween. This rubber stamp is from Whimsy Stamps July's release and is called 'Penguin Trick or Treaters'.

I colored the image using my prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut it out.
The papers I used are from the Whimsy Stamps Haunted Halloween Pack 2 Digital collection, printed onto cardstock. I used the 'stitched border trio die set' for the wavy edges to the paper.
The sentiment is a SNEAK PEEK from a new set coming in a couple of days! I stamped this in watermark ink and then heat embossed it in fine white embossing powder.
I used a freebie 'spooky tree' digi from Tiddly Inks along with a 'spooky fence' punch from Martha Stewart.

MFT Blueprints Challenge - BP #29 wedding card

My Favorite Things have just started a new challenge on their blog -

I just love these blueprints dies as they make card making so much easier. All the dies are there for you, along with some printable card sketches to follow.

I used Blueprints #29 to make this wedding card:

I also used one of the sketches posted on the blog too - it made it super quick and easy to complete this card.

I also used the Layered Champagne Glass die and Together Forever clear stamp set for the sentiment on the outside and inside. I wanted my sentiment to fit on the banner in the blueprints set, and so masked off part of the stamp with washi tape before inking. The papers are from my stash, following the color scheme of their wedding.

Whimsy Stamps - Teddy Birthday Presents

Part of this month's release over at Whimsy Stamps was this adorable 'Teddy Birthday Presents' by Lee Holland. I decided to show you how versatile the stamp can be by using it to create a Christmas card!

I used my prismacolor pencils to color the image and then cut it out using the 'Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles' die set.

I used a border die (now retired) to create the bracket edge, which I highlighted using a thin black pen to draw stitches.
The sentiment is from the 'Scripty Occasions' clear stamp set, which I heat embossed using clear embossing powder to make it pop a little.
The papers are from the Christmas Cheer designer paper 6x6 paper pad, along with the coordinating Christmas Cheer enamel dots.

A little ribbon and twine from my stash, along with a few small bells, finishes the card off!

Whimsy Stamps - Paper Dolly Polly

Part of this month's release over at Whimsy Stamps was this adorable 'Paper Dolly Polly' clear stamp set. There are so many possibilities for different characters and sentiments. I decided to make my doll into a witch - using the princess dress but coloring in 'witchy' colors!

I used my prismacolor pencils to color the image and elements, and then fussy cut it out.

I used the new 'FaDoodles' clear stamp set for the doodling around the edges,
and the 'bold banners' clear stamp set  with purple ink for the sentiments.
The purple background paper is from Echo Park.

Super simple and fun to do!
