My Favorite Things - Sketch #550 & 'Feeling Beachy' theme

I've been have fun playing along with sketches and challenges lately, and this week I combined both the current sketch #550 and slimline challenge 'Feeling Beachy',  from My Favorite Things.

Here is my card:

I stamped the images from the Summer Safari stamp set and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir Trish-blend markers. I then fussy cut them out and set them aside.

I cut a strip of light blue Cardstock measuring 3.25" x 8.25". I used the Wavy Lines stencil with some blue distress ink to create the wave effect on the background.

I used a cloud die to make my own stencil, and then used white pigment ink to create the subtle cloud effect at the top of the panel.

I cut a couple of hills from white cardstock and added some yellow and brown ink to make them look 'Beachy'! I added these to the bottom of the blue need panel.

I adhered this panel onto a standard white slimline card base (3.5" x 8.5").

I stamped the sentiment using the same stamp set and die cut them in a small banner. I used the same blue distress ink to color a piece of cardstock and then cut that into a banner too. I added these to the top of the card.

I finished the card by popping up the images on foam dots.

Thanks for looking.

Christmas in July!

I love the current AAA cards challenge - 'Twinchie'. I had no clue what this was to begin with but once I started I got carried away!

For the first card I used this adorable image from Mo Manning 'Christmas Puppy'.

I printed out the image and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers.

I cut a white cardstock panel measuring 4" x 5.25", and used a 2 inch square die to cut a window in the panel. I adhered the image behind the window and then adhered it to a standard A2 white card base.

For my second card, I used a sentiment from silhouette studio. I love how this looks on a CAS card.

I printed it out to measure just under 2". I cut this out on a panel measuring 4" x 5.25" and then adhered it onto a standard A2 black card base.

I will also be entering the first card into Mo's digital challenge #305 - anything goes.

Thanks for looking!

My Favorite Things - Sketch #549 & Color #169

I've been have fun playing along with sketches and challenges lately, and this week I combined both the current sketch and color challenge from My Favorite Things.

Here is my card:

I stamped the images from the Weather With You stamp set and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers, to match the color challenge above. It doesn't show too well on the photo but I did use a cream marker to add some color to the clouds and bunny. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I have a strip left over from a previous card, using the Scallop Stripe background stamp which I turned on its side to use as a decorative strip. I found some teal cardstock in my stash and colored up some white cardstock using my Coral blend marker to match the color combo.

I added these to a white yardstick panel measuring 4" x 5.25" and stamped the sentiment from the Weather With You stamp set

I popped up the images on foam dots and added the panel to a standard A2 white card base.

Thanks for looking.

We're Moving!

We have less than 3 weeks until the packers and movers are coming in to pack and load up our house, with a move across the US the NC!

This digital image from Gerda Steiner - Kitten in moving Box - was just perfect to send to family.

I love the sketch from the current AAA cards challenge #193, and also included the optional twist 'critters'.

I printed the image and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir trip-blend markers and then fussy cut it out. I printed out the sentiment and used a die from Queen & Co to cut out the background panel. I used papers from Echo Parks Go See Explore 6x6 paper pad.

I am entering this card into Gerda Steiner's July Share Your Designs challenge.

Thanks for looking!

Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash July - Oh, Baby

I loved this theme this month, from Reverse Confetti - Oh, Baby!

I used 'The Bear Up There' stamp set, along with the Polka Panel Die to make this card.

I have packed up most of craft room for a move to North Carolina in 4 weeks, so my current supplies are limited!

I used some papers from Echo Park to paper piece onto the balloons, a background stamp from MFT and other dies from Queen & Co.

I love how versatile this stamp set is - the images can be used for so many different occasions.

Thanks for looking.

My Favorite Things - Slimline Challenge - Things with Wings

With most of my craft supplies packed up ready for our move and my current limited craft room, I managed to find some stamped images - only one of which had wings!!!! I used the retired set Polar Penguins for the slimline challenge card - Things with Wings.

I looked for inspiration using the Slimline Slide In die-namics, and found a fantastic design by Inge Groot. I cased this design to make my card.

I colored the images using my Spectrum Noir Tri-blemnd markers and prismacolor pencils. I added glossy accents for the texture dots on the card (I have already packed my Nuvo drops for the move!)

The sentiment was stamped using the Sweater Weather in Safari stamp set.

I love how this card turned out.

Cute Card Thursday July - Anything Goes w/optional twist 'Summer'

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this month is Anything Goes with an optional twist - Summer.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I made this card during the Scrapbook & Cards Crop and Create Event back in March - a card class by Jenn Shurkus.

I used Lawn Fawn's Coaster Critter stamps and coordinating dies for this card. All images were colored with my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers.

We followed directions to make this card and I love how it turned out. A super fun, summery feel.

We are sponsored this month by Whimsy Stamps, All Dressed Up and Stampers Delight, great prizes as always!

Hope you can join us!
