Reindeer cards - Blitzen

Here is another of my reindeer cards to go with the letters. I found this image on the internet searching reindeer.

I used My Mind's Eye 'Winter Wonderland' collection of papers, along with a little bling.
I added a small paper envelope for the letter inside.

I used the current sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday2 blog, #71:

Christmas Kisses

I am loving all the cute Project 100 Snowmen from From the Heart Stamps! This one is called 'Blowing Kisses'.

I made this card into a gate fold card, using papers from Echo Park.

The snowflake embellishment holds the card closed,
using the main image to tuck behind it.

I used this week's sketch #128 from their blog:

I rotated the sketch and used my favorite blue as the twist!

Cute Card Thursday - Fairies and Angels

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Fairies and Angels'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I actually used a normal stamp for this project - not a digi! My mum sent me some stamps by Molly Blooms - super cute! This angel was in the collection.

I used Simple Stories 'Handmade Holiday' 6x6 paper pad - stamping the image a number of times on different patterned papers. I then, painstakingly, cut out and paper pieced the angel. It took a long time and was very fiddly, but I am pleased with the end result. I used some stickers from the collection, along with some bling a twine.

We are sponsored this week by Di's Digi Stamps, a great prize as always!

Pot Pourri & Candles Gift Set

My favorite color at Christmas time is definitely red! It just shouts out Christmas. I am making neighbor gifts this year, as we have just bought our own house and are getting to know our new neighborhood.

I love candles and pot pour at Christmas, so I decided this would be a perfect gift. Here is the finished version:

The super cute gift tag was made using 'Santa's Winking Star' from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps.
I love the frame around the image as it makes for a perfect gift tag.

I used an old jam jar and filled it with some Christmas red pot pour. I cut and frayed the burlap, and then used my hot glue gun to fix it to the candles and jar.

I covered the edge of the jar lid with twine, again using my glue gun to ensure good adhesion. I made a rosette to place on the lid of the jar - super easy! Cut a strip of paper, score it at every 1/2" and fold it forwards and backwards. Glue the ends together and flatten down - voila! A small sticker placed in the centre just covers the middle.

I purchased the red decoration from the floral department in Michaels. I pulled it all apart and made smaller arrangements to decorate the gifts. Some patterned paper from Teresa Collins, and some twine finished the decorations off.

Reindeer Cards - Vixen

Another of my reindeer cards uses another image I found on the internet. I used my Silhouette software to flip the image. The colors of the scarves are the girls favorites colors!
The papers are from Carta Bella's 'Merry and Bright' collection. The sentiment was found on Desert Diva's blog. The blue stitching added some texture and finished of the card nicely!

I added an envelope inside the card for the letter, and decorated with papers and embellishments from the collection.

I am entering this card into the challenge over on the Crafting By Designs blog - Times 3.

Reindeer cards - Donner

For those of you who remember back to last year, I was involved in a 'Reindeer Scheme' for sick children in the UK. I wasn't organized enough to get this done in time this year and posted to the UK, so I decided to make the cards and letters for a friend of mine who has 3 young girls.

I used an image I found on the internet , along with papers from Kaisercraft's 'Holly jolly' Collection.

I printed out the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper, inked the edge of the papers with black ink and added a little red bling.

I made a pocket inside for the letter to sit in, along with some of the stickers from the collection and stick on alpha's for the name.

I used this week's sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 - #75:

I rotated the sketch to fit my image better.

Cute Card Thursday - Light it Up

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Light it Up'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I found this cute image on the internet.

I added some simple coloring and decided to make the image the focus of the card.
I love CAS cards.

I made my own sentiment on the Silhouette Designer package, and used black textured cardstock to highlight the image.

From the Heart Stamps - November Stamp of the Month

I just love these Birdbrain Chicks from From the Heart Stamps! Here is this month's Stamp of the Month - Deck the Halls Birdbrain.
If you make a card or project using the Stamp of the Month - then next month's image is free!!! They always come with some great sentiments too.

I also used this week's sketch #127 from their blog:

I rotated the sketch and print out extra baubles (which I fussy cut) to mimic the button border on the sketch. I love coloring the Birdbrain in non-chick colors!!!
The sentiment is part of a longer sentiment that comes with the image.

Be Warm inside and out

I'm just loving the Sassy Cheryl winter images at the moment. This cutie is called 'Frosty cup of Cocoa'.

I made a CAS designed card - I think the image is too cute to overpower it with embellishments.
The sentiment is from desert diva's blog - she has some great free sentiments!

I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and added pierced holes as a border for extra interest.

The Paper Girls Challenge #92 - Favorite Winter Sport

This challenge lasts 3 weeks - 'Favorite Winter Sport'.

I wouldn't say that this image represents my favorite winter sport - I really don't like winter!! But I DO love this image from Sassy Cheryl Stamps - 'Downhill Slope Santa'.

I have used this image before and just loved the design - So I have done something very similar. I used my silhouette to create and print out the background snowflakes and sentiment. I then colored Santa and fussy cut him out, making him ski down the 'slope'. The sentiment is from Ginger's House blog.

I would love to see you joining in this challenge.

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Birds/Animals.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used one of the images from our sponsor this week - All Dressed Up Stamps
This image is called 'B is for Bear'. I love this image - it is perfect for a baby boy OR girl card.

I used My Mind's Eye 'The Sweetest Thing - Bluebell' collection of papers. I found some wooden hearts and a mini diaper pin in my stash that finished the card off perfectly.

Cute Card Thursday - Food/Drink

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Food/Drink'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used a new image this week - from someone I have recently discovered - Aliciabel images. This is called 'coffee and good morning'.

I made this card at a recent scrapbook retreat, using Theresa Collins 'Tinsel & Company' collection. The challenge was to use Christmas papers for something other than a christmas card or layout. These papers worked perfectly for this image.
The sentiment I made myself on the silhouette.

We are sponsored this week by Bunny Zoe's crafts, a great prize as always!

The Paper Girls Challenge #91 - Stamps (no digi's)

This fortnight's challenge is 'Stamps - no digi's'.

This was a challenge for me! If you know me, I LOVE my digital stamps.
I used stamps from Molly Blooms - they came from my mum in the UK - super cute.

I decided to do something other than a card this time. I made a gift card wallet, using Simple Stories 'Handmade Holiday' collection. I stamped the jar of gingerbread men and the star tag onto some of the plainer cardstock, and embellished with twine and mini jingle bells.

I would love to see you joining in this challenge.
Go visit the Paper Girls Challenge blog for more details.
