Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything Goes'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

Now we are past Christmas I decided to do a completely different theme, which felt kinda weird! I seem to have been doing Christmas themed projects for months now! It was actually quite refreshing!

I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Trails stamp set for my main focus and inspiration. We have an Airstream that we love to use in the summer and go out into the mountains so this set is perfect for my husband!

I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Backdrop for my background and added some Peeled Paint Distress Oxide to the hills. I added drops of water for a little interest too. I die cut the Lawn Fawn Forest Border for the hills in the background, blending on some distress oxide too.

For the background panel I used some Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass distress inks to blend the sky. I stamped the sentiment and hearts from the Happy Trails stamp set and the clouds were die cut from the Stitched Hillside Backdrop dies.

I stamped the car and trailer from the Happy Trails set and of course I had to add some moose to the card! We have them visiting our back yard and around the neighborhood so they were a must! These were stamped from the Lawn Fawn Dad + Me stamp set. All of these images were colored with prismacolor pencils and then fussy cut out.

I love how this scenic card has turned out and I'm just wishing for the summer now! Shame we have snow until May!! :(

We are sponsored this week by Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez, a great prize as always. I hope to see you joining in the challenge this month.

Hello Winter Penguin

It is time for my final card for the Crafty Doodle Chick Design team on the Crafty Doodle Chick blog.

I adore this cute penguin image from Gerda Steiner designs - Long time no See. I saw him as the perfect winter penguin to go alongside Neat & Tangled's Hello Winter stamp set.

I stamped the penguin image and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut him out.

I stamped the Hello Winter word block using versa mark watermark ink and then het embossed it with white embossing powder. I added some white gel pen detail around the edge of the card.

I then popped up the penguin on foam dots and voila! A super simple, CAS style card that anyone can make.

Thank you for all of your support during my design term at Crafty Doodle Chick - I am sure I will still see you on Faceboook and Blogland!

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the Crafty Doodle Chick blog for lots of inspiration from the rest of the design team

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything Goes'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

As this is the last post before Christmas, I decided to use the pillow box die set from Lawn Fawn to make up some small treat gifts.

The images were stamped from Create a Smile's Beast Feast stamp set. Such super fun images perfect for any child, young or old, for Christmas.
I colored these with my prismacolor pencils and fussy cut them out.

I used spellbinders plain circle and scallop circle nestabilities dies, and hand cut the banners for the sentiments. The sentiments were stamped from the same Beast Feast stamp set.

We are sponsored this week by Di's Digi Stamps, a great prize as always!

Hope you can join us!

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

It's my turn on the Crafty Doodle Chick blog today with a fun stamp set from Avery Elle - A Merry Little Christmas.

I stamped the images and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut them out.

I used Sunny Studios Window Trio Square die to cut out the windows in the back panel and backed this with some green polka dot paper from Sunny Studios Polka-dot Parade 6x6 paper pack.

I used the same stamp set to stamp the sentiment and snowflakes onto the background panel. I added some green enamel dots to finish it off. This was then adhered onto some red polka dot paper from the same collection.

I love how the design of this card came together.

Cute Card Thursday - Embossing

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Embossing'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I saw this die cut image online and knew I just had to have it! Living in a winter vacation area we have so many skiers and snowboarders arriving to stay in the ski resorts.

This is a super quick and easy card to make. I die cut the 'Ski Girl' from white cardstock using an Alexandra Renke die from Ellen Hutson.
I used papers from Recollections 'Blue Christmas' 6x6 paper pad and then heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped using MFT's snow globes stamp set (now retired).

The whole scene was adhered onto a standard A2 white card base.

We are sponsored this week by All Dressed Up Stamps, a great prize as always!
Hope you can join us! See you there!

You Warm my Heart

It's my turn on the Crafty Doodle Chick blog today with a super adorable hedgehog image from Gerda Steiner designs. This stamp set is called Coffee Hedgehog.

I stamped the images and colored them in with my prismacolor pencils. I also stamped the image onto some patterned paper and paper pieced the scarf in place.

For the background window I used Lawn Fawn's Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Window die set. I love the inside scalloped detail on this die set - it just a little different from the norm.

All of the patterned paper comes from Doodlebug's Cream & Sugar 6x6 paper pad. Super cute and love the way the colors and patterns coordinate so well.

I popped up the sentiment banner and coffee cup on foam dots and added a thin kraft border around the edge to finish the card off!

A super simple and quick & easy card to make!

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything Goes'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I love the Whimsy Stamps digital images being released this month. This digital image is called 'Noelle' - i love the super cute balloons.

I printed out the image and colored it using my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut her out.

I used papers from Simple Stories Classic Christmas 6x6 paper pad and added some bakers twine from my stash. I stamped the sentiment using Whimsy Stamps 'You're My Jolly' stamp set and VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne (black) ink. Some enamel dots from Whimsy Stamps Christmas Cheer collection finished the card off.

MFT Sketch #414

I loved this current sketch #414 from My Favorite Things:

I was also inspired by the current color challenge #106 too:

I decided to combine the 2 challenges for my Santa Christmas card.

I stamped the image using the Jingle all the Way stamp set and colored it in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut him out.

I used the new Candy Land 6x6 paper pack for the patterned papers on the card, matching the colors to the color challenge.

I stamped the sentiment from the Jingle all the Way stamp set and heat embossed it with transparent embossing powder. I then used the banner die from Blueprints #29 to cut it out.

I added these elements to a hot fudge colored piece of cardstock from my stash and then adhered it all to a standard A2 kraft card base.

Oh What Fun! with Lawn Fawn

It's my turn on the Crafty Doodle Chick blog today using lots of awesome Lawn Fawn products.
They are all on the daily deal today so grab them while stocks last!
I decided to use the Reveal Wheel Add-on to make a square card with the adorable 'Oh What Fun!' stamp set.

I used created the base of the card using both the main Reveal Wheel die set and the Reveal Wheel Square add-on. These cards are easier than you think to make - just look up the Lawn Fawn directions on YouTube.

For the background panel I blended Fade Jeans and Broken China distress oxide inks and then added some drops of water for added interest. I stamped the snowflakes form the 'Oh what fun!' stamp set using Stazon white ink.

I used the heart from the add on set to create the window and cut out the window frame from some of the left over background panel, along with he mini arrow.

For the sentiment I used the Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments stamp set - separating 2 of the sentiment pieces to stamp them separately.

I used Lawn Fawn pixie dust glitter cardstock for the snow hill. I stamped the santa image using the Oh What Fun! stamp set and the trees were stamped from the Winter Skies stamp set. They were all colored with prismacolor pencils and fussy cut before adhering to the card.

I used the insert of the heart that was cut from the front panel to decorate the inside of the card along with the sentiment from the Oh What Fun stamp set.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the Crafty Doodle Chick blog for lots of inspiration from the rest of the design team

I am also entering this card into the current Lawnfawnatics challenge #42 Winter Holiday.
