Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything Goes'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I made another card with no stamping or coloring!!! I love these die sets from Whimsy Stamps - Slimline Scenic Countryside and Tree Assortment.

I used Trinity Stamps Envelope Builder die to cut the frame from Kraft cardstock.

I hand cut the snow hills from white cardstock and adhered then onto a standard slimline Kraft card base.

I added the trees and houses to the scene, added the scallop frame, and then added some stickles to represent the snow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Winter Sports clear stamp set and die cut the banner using Whimsy Stamps Quick Strips dies.

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything Goes'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I decided to do something a little different for this card - and actually made a card with NO stamping or coloring!

I die cut the white frame using Whimsy Stamps Slimline Scenic Countryside die and set this aside.

I used the Whimsy Stamps Bookmark and Tags dies to die cut the green and red tags from Whimsy Stamps Cosmic papers (now retired).

I used Whimsy Stamps Bold ABC dies to cut the word merry, and also die cut the Christmas word from an old Whimsy Stamps die set.

I added some bakers twine to string along the top of the frame and tied each tag onto the string.

I popped up the frame on foam tape and adhered the card together, onto a standard black slimline card base.

MFT Sketch #520 - Sending you lots of JOY

It's so much fun to create just to join in a challenge! I loved this week's sketch #520 from My Favorite Things.

I flipped the sketch a little to accommodate the sentiment.

I used the Filled with Joy die set to create the snowman and die cut the letter. The papers I used are from the Very Merry 6x6 paper pad.

I added a subtle snowflake background on the white panel using Hug in a Mug stamp set and clear embossing powder.

I stamped the sentiment from Filled with Joy stamp set (now retired) and heat embossed it with white embossing powder,

This panel was all adhered onto a standard A2 white card base.

I love how this card turned out - the sketch worked perfectly.

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything Goes'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used one of my favorite stamp sets - Happy Owlidays from Whimsy Stamps - for this card.

I stamped the image and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers. I then fussy cut it out.

I used an older Whimsy Stamps paper pad (Cozy Winter) for the background panels, and adhered them onto some brown cardstock for a border.

I used Queen & Co's foundation dies to cut out the circle and scalloped circle from plain cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Owlidays stamp set and adhered them all onto a standard A2 Kraft card base.

I finished off the card by adding a banner and some wink of Stella to the antlers and bells.

MFT Sketch #519 - May Your Spirits be Spiked

It's so much fun to create just to join in a challenge! I loved this week's sketch #519 from My Favorite Things.

I used the Wine Glass Window and Frame die-namic for the main focus of this card. I decided to give the glass a holiday feel, so used the snowman elements from the Filled with Joy die-namics set.

I added some white gel pen detailing to the pieces to make them pop.

I stamped the sentiment using the Spirited Sentiments stamp (now retired). I used Versamark watermark ink and heat embossed it with extra fine white embossing powder onto a black cardstock strip.

I used the super cute 'Wishlist' digital image from Whimsy Stamps.

I printed out the image and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers, and then fussy cut it out.

I used the Whimsy Stamps Cross Stitched Hearts background stamp with Catherine Pooler Peppermint Scrub ink, to stamp on white cardstock.
I used the Whimsy Stamps Lots of Dots background stamp and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide to stamp onto white cardstock. I cut down these backgrounds to make smaller panels.

I stamped the sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Christmas Hoo stamp set.

I adhered the panels onto some coordinating green cardstock and then onto a top folding standard A2 white card base.

I finished off the card by popping up the image on foam dots.

MFT Sketch #518 - Peace, Love & Paws

It's so much fun to create just to join in a challenge! I loved this week's sketch #518 from My Favorite Things and paired it with Scrapbook & Cards Recipe Card challenge from Laura Bassen.

I used the Peace, Love, and Paws stamp set for this card. I stamped the images and colored it in with my Tri-Blend Spectrum Noir pens. I then fussy cut the images out.

I copied the current sketch #518, switching it up just a little:

I used the Candy Land 6x6 papers (now retired) to add colorful strips of paper (as per the recipe challenge!), copying the sketch also.

I changed the circle on the sketch and used the MFT Stitched Dome STAX (now retired). I die cut it from white cardstock and used mowed lawn, twisted citron and broken china distress oxides to ink blend the background. I also used the MFT grassy edges stencil to ink blend some grass. Recipe challenge - add ink blending - check!

I stamped the sentiment from the Peace, Love and Paws stamp set, using watermark ink on black cardstock. I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder - another item on the recipe card! I then used MFT Skinny Strips dies to cut out the sentiment.

I popped up the images with foam dots for added dimension to the card (last item on the recipe card - check!).

This panel was all adhered onto a standard A2 top folding white card base.

I love how this card turned out - the sketch and recipe worked perfectly together.

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Anything Goes'.
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

I used the adorable Wee Stamps digi - Sarah - from Whimsy Stamps for this card. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers.

I cut the image panel into a 4" x 4" square and adhered it onto a coordinating colored cardstock panel 1/8" larger.

I used papers from an older Whimsy Stamps paper collection, to create a grid background - a great way to use up smaller pieces of cardstock. I adhered these onto a a brown cardstock panel measuring 5.25" x 5.25" and added the image panel on top. I cut some small banners and added some snowflakes from my stash.

I added the panel onto a square white card base measuring 5.5" x 5.5", and finished off the card with some white gel pen detailing and stickles.
