You Are So Awesome

I wanted to make a special card for a special young lady who has been struggling lately. I wanted to remind her how awesome she is!

I just love the 'Hippo with Butterfly' stamp set from Gerda Steiner, and thought it would be perfect for this card.

I stamped the image and colored it in with my Spectrum Noir Tri-Bland markers, I then fussy cut them out. I added white gel pen detailing to the hippo's shirt and butterfly.

I used papers from Doodlebug, along with a scallop border die from Queen & Co. and a notebook edger from my stash.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hippo with Butterfly stamp set and heat embossed it with white embossing powder to make it pop.

A super simple card design but super cute!

I am entering this card into the monthly Share Your Designs Challenge for February. I love how this turned out.

With Love!

Over on Doodlebug's blog, they have a sketch challenge for both layouts and cards. I have already created my layout (see Pink earrings! below), and now this is my card.
Here is the sketch I had to work with:
 And here is my card:
I cut out the hearts from patterned paper to make the banner and used a rub-on word for the sentiment.

Pink earrings!

I just love this Doodlebug 'sweet cakes' collection - perfect for my little girl! I used the Doodlebug sketch for March:
 And here is my layout!
I am also entering this layout into the Scrap-Friendzy challenge #2 for March - use a color word in the title.
