Echo Park 'Let's Be Mermaids' mini album

I used Echo Park's 'Let's Be Mermaids' collection and coordinating papers from my stash to make this album.

This album measures 6.75" x 6.75" with a 3" spine. There are 5 pages, each measuring 5.5" x 5.5", with lots of flaps, photo and journalling mats. The bright colors and 'let's be mermaids' theme makes this a super cute album. I used a design from MonkeyMooMakes to make this album (https://youtu.be/QVBH5Cmf5Iw).

Cute Card Thursday - Masculine

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Masculine'. 
As always, we welcome your own interpretation.

This was one of the awesome make-and-take classes from the Whimsy Retreat which has just been held in Florida. Fun times as always!

We used the new military collections design by Denise Lynn and Deb Davis for Whimsy Stamps.

This first card uses the Military Heroes stamp set. I used VersaFine CLAIR ink pads to stamp the image and sentiment and then left it to dry. Once dry, I stamped the Military Camo Background in Versamark Watermark ink and then heat embossed it with transparent embossing powder.

The second card uses the Military Family stamp set. The heart shaped flag was stamped all over the card and left to dry. The soldiers were then die cut from the front of the card using the coordinating Military Die set, along with another 2 soldiers from plain white cardstock. I then stacked them on top of each other to provide the shadowing effect. The sentiment was stamped from the same stamp set and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The last card uses the Military Family stamp set for the heart shaped flags and the Military Heroes stamp set for the sentiment. The background was created using the Star Dangle stencil with Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone.

I loved this class and the card was super quick and easy to make. I can see more of these cards appearing in the future!

Whimsy Stamps Penguin Life's a Beach

One of my all time favorite digital stamps from Whimsy Stamps is the Penguin Life's a Beach set. These adorable penguins are designed by the wonderful Crissy Armstrong.

I printed out the digital image onto white cardstock and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut him out.

I used the background paper I created at the Whimsy Retreat. This was one of Iris's classes, using a gel plate and acrylic paint. So much fun and super messy! I love how it worked for the background. I also used and layered papers from my stash. 

I stamped the sentiment from a new stamp coming out next month - Sleepy Sloths.

I love how this card turned out!

Whimsy Stamps Bath Cat

Another of this month's new digital stamps release from Whimsy Stamps - Bath Cat! This is such an adorable image designed by the wonderful Crissy Armstrong.

I printed out the digital image onto white cardstock and colored it in with my prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut him out.

I usd papers from the May Paper Door Kit - Adorable Otters. I cut them in to squares and rectangles and added hand stitching for extra detail.

I stamped the sentiment from the Adopt don't Shop Dogs stamp set and cut the paper into a banner shape.

I love how this card turned out!

Cute Card Thursday - Square

Our theme at Cute Card Thursday this week is 'Square'. 
As always, we welcome your own interpretation. 

I used the newly released Butterflies Fluttering stamp set by Dove Art for Whimsy Stamps. This was one of the awesome classes from the Whimsy Retreat which has just been held in Florida. Fun times as always!

The image was stamped onto watercolor paper using distress ink It was then watercolored with distress inks too.

The sentiment was stamped from the same stamp set, and then distress inks were 'flicked' in spots on top.

The image was mounted onto a black cardstock frame and then onto a beige card base.

I loved this class and the card was super quick and easy to make. I can see more of these cards appearing in the future!

I used Whimsy Stamps Peekaboo Window 2 die for the background and added some different patterned papers behind the windows. I fussy cut the wavy paper to look like water and used Whimsy Stamps Grass and Cloud Edger die to create a scene background.

I die cut the ducks from the light green cardstock using the Build-a-Pond die set in the kit and stamped the sentiment onto the blue cardstock, cutting it into a banner shape. I added some enamel dots to the banner, and some sheer blue ribbon the the middle of the card. 

I stamped the otter image onto white cardstock and colored it in with my prismacolor pencils. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and adhered it to the card.
