Whimsy Stamps July Mini Release - Cross Stitch

I'm loving this adorable mini release, especially the cross stitch stamps for Whimsy Stamps. So many adorable elements to be used together or apart.

I haven't done much cross stitching for while, and this stamp set really spurred me on to do some!

I stamped a white cardstock panel using the new Cross stitched hearts background stamp and VersaMark watermark ink. I then heat embossing it with clear embossing powder for a subtle background.

I stamped the sentiment using the Cross Stitch sentiments set onto some Kraft paper. This was then adhered to some white cardstock and then onto the background panel. 

I hand pierced the holes around the inside and then cross stitched the pattern using thread from my stash. I continued the patterned onto the sentiment panel and then went through the stamped needle to look like it was threaded onto the needle.

I adhered this panel onto a standard A2 black card base.
