#spreadjoynotgerms Blog Hop

Hello, again! I'm excited to be participating in the #spreadjoynotgerms Blog Hop! (You should have arrived here from Stephanie Beauchemin's blog.) This hop is the brain child of Catherine Pooler and Alexandra Stapleton-Smith. They hope to inspire people to create and send handmade cards during this time of social distancing, while also encouraging people to stay home and help stop the spread of the virus.

Without further ado, here is the card I have made for the swap, featuring WHIMSY STAMPS products.

I used the Spring Gnomes digital stamp set for this card. I printed him out onto white cardstock and colored him in with my prismacolor pencils. I added some white gel pen detailing to his hat and then fussy cut him out. I love using digital stamps as I can resize them, flip them, rotate them and play around with them before I print them out.

I printed out the digital sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps Big Wishes set, onto white cardstock and cut the panel down to 3.75" x 5". I then used some antique linen distress ink and the Whimsy Stamps Giraffe Stencil to add a little color and depth to the background panel.

I added the panel onto some blue glitter cardstock measuring 4" x 5.25". This was then adhered to standard A2 white card base.

I finished off the card by adhering the gnome directly on top.
